Hello, I am creating a list of materials to create a vinyl application kit for my company. The kit would include cleaning and materials needed to install vinyl decals on flat walls, floors and glass.
Cleaning Solution: Water and Iso, Water and detergent, or water and baby shampoo. What do you...
Hello, I have a client asking to place a low adhesive vinyl graphic on wallpaper. The graphic would be up for 3 days. Do you guys have suggestions on what type of vinyl would be good for this project? We generally use 3M™ Controltac™ Print Film 40C for our wall graphics.
Does the type of...
Hello, my company recently purchased the HP FB750 and want to know how we can estimate the average ink cost to run a job by sq ft.
Any other additional costs you use to estimate how much it costs to run a job?
Hello, I am tasked with creating a directional sign that is 8ft tall and will have signs pointing in various directions. See attached images for what I am trying to create. I am thinking about using an 8ft Upright and Base for the sign but I am wondering how I can attach some Sintra signs to the...
I would like to get better at applying vinyl and was wondering if there are classes that teach you.
I know of 3M Graphics Installation Training & Testing Programs but I am wondering if there are any in Florida and or Illinois
Hello, I am trying to print edge to edge on a HP FB750. I make the graphic larger than the actual graphic but when I try to set negative margins, the printer will crop my graphic to the scanned dimensions. How do I setup and print the graphic so it physically prints off of the ridge panel so I...
The rip (Caldera) is sending over a 24.38" W x 48.5" H graphic with the printer reading a board size of 24.41" W x 48.5" H. I think you're right in that the gap between the box flaps may be causing the printer to stop.
Hello, I am trying to do an edge to edge print using a HP FB750 onto a Corrugated Cardboard box that I have flattened. I loaded the media into the printer, set the depth and have made my graphic print the full box but for some reason the print stops halfway through at 24" but the graphic depth...
I think you're right, I changed the blade height and it is better but still a little jagged. I will look into getting a blade made for thicker material.
Hello, I have printed on General Formulations 212 and laminated with GF 211. I placed the 36" circle graphic in our Graphtec 8600 and got a jagged edge when cutting. I have attached a picture of the cut.
Tool: CB09U
Speed: 12 cm/s
Acceleration: 1
Cut Force: 35
Cutter Perforation: 8mm / 0.35mm...
Thank you for the information. I did the test and the print looks fine in the area that was cleaned with isopropyl. Is there anyway I can prolong the quality of the roll so this doesn't happen? Is this roll now garbage?
Hello, I am having troubles printing on General Formulations 212. I don't see this happening in any of my other vinyls I print on using the same printer. I have created my own profile in Caldera and have tried some other generic vinyl printing profiles but with no luck. The cracking is most...
Looking for suggestions on how to store an 8ft wide roll of material when not printing on it and I would like to hold the rolls on the wall. I am wondering if I place the roll on the wall on some type of slanted bracket, would that put a dent into the material.
We have a HP FB750 and we're looking to print on a substrate to make column wraps using the roll kit accessory. So we are looking for substrate recommendations that would look good with UV inks.
It can, we got a sample from someone in the area that printed with the HP FB750 but it wasn't very rich. It was similar to our HP 260 and not as good as the 560 that I have seen.
HP FB750 & R2000 has an accessory for white ink. You're right that DyeSub would be best for textile but a majority of our print operations are for other substrates. I've seen fabric printed on a HP 570 and it looked decent.
