  4. How do you store your scraps...

Unless the scrap is at least an 18x24, then throw it out. My life has been so much simpler after I adopted that rule. I save all aluminum for an end of the year trip to the recycler, which has paid for some nice fishing trips for the crew.

I've been shipping with UPS for a few years. No problems. After about a year of complaining, they did change my daily delivery time from the afternoons to morning, so that is a plus. Fedex has been horrible lately, unless it is an 18 wheeler making the drop, it will more than likely be some...

Car dealers are right up there with real estate agents in my book for being difficult and cheap customers. When that cheap POS blows down and smacks into a car, they might re-think their bargain.
  12. Take-up Reel = crap

Never had that problem, once the print is about 3-4 inches past the take-up tube, I pause the machine, then pull the print tight around the tube, put a piece of tape in the middle, then the 2 sides, then un-pause and then hand tension the bar until the machine takes over. I always think of...

  14. So it's been a while...Economy check?

I've been getting lots of work from long time customers. I've been calling many people I haven't heard from in over 6 months and a few of them are ordering. One of my personal non-scientific indicators, towing signs, has really been picking up. Overall a mixed bag, but trending upward on...
  15. Procedure when informed of insufficient funds?

If the client called you first, then great. They will more than likely take care of it. But, call your bank to make sure they don't do an automatic re-present. I've only received a few bouncers, and only had to get extreme with one of them. Extreme= going to the district attorney office...
  16. Window Perf Problem

I don't know why, but I've always had better results using the CurvaLam instead of ClearLam. Never had any issues with perf after I switched to the Curvalam, yes, it's more expensive, but I don't have to redo things.

  19. Is it customer's fault or mine

Yes, customers should be checking and signing a proof, but you should be sending them a "perfect" final proof. Mistakes will happen, and that is where you get to shine through as a problem solver when you offer to compromise to get things fixed.
