  1. 48" Application tape machine

I now use a my laminator and even with a second one we will have to do a fair amount of roll swapping. The one I saw was a dedicated machine that in the base model used a hand crank and you just set your paper on a set of rollers on the top for the machine, lifted a bar or something, inserted...
  2. 48" Application tape machine

I'm bumping this thread a bit. We are going to start run a lot of rolls of 48" wide reflective that has to be taped. I still can't find the machine I found a few months back and a Rolls Roller (sp?) is a tad expensive.
  3. Double sided decal without white ink.

Thanks for the replies I was hoping for some tip I was missing but wasn't expecting anything. But this isn't something I would sub out due to what kind of shop we have here. I work for a transportation company. We do all our decaling in house. 5 or so years ago we were bought by a much larger...
  4. Double sided decal without white ink.

I've been asked to print a double sided decal. You know so when its stuck to glass you can read it from both sides. On my Roland I came up with a setup where I printed it on clear reversed, applied white 651, applied ink jet material 3551 or something similar, printed again right side up,then...
  5. 48" Application tape machine

The issue is that hand applying 48 inch tape can be challenging. This 3m 640 reflective is very expensive and if you mess up you pretty much have to toss it. 5 feet costs over 80 bucks.
  6. 48" Application tape machine

I've seen the sheeter it's just not wide enough. As for a laminator we switch between 30 and 48. I saw a machine where you loaded the tape between two rolls on top and fed the sheet underneath.
  7. 48" Application tape machine

Tried a search but not sure what to search for. We need to apply application tape to vinyl upto 48" and maybe upto 54". Its 3m 680 reflective that doesn't like to have application tape stick to the backing. Heck the vinyl doesn't like to stick the backing.:) I got a tip from here to use 3m...
  8. printing on clear vinyl

I've done double ink and it just looks like if you are spray painting something and putting a too thick coating on. I've also seen a few fish eyes.
  9. Large Digital Clock

Or a scrolling LED sign that can just show the date and time. Could maybe also be useful for announcements. Thats all I got without more info.
  10. Large Digital Clock

Do you mean how to make one or how to get the time and date in a large format in the room. To just get the date and time in the room, a cheap TV hooked up to an older PC running some sort of webpage. If you know someone who knows electronics here are some big 7 segment LEDS...
  11. Cutting issue

Ok Now I see whats happening. My first post thought his was a 60" plotter and that even with that width you don't get 60". Yes op if you expect that the cutter will go all the way to the edge and give you 3 24" pieces it just doesn't work that way. Even if it did I doubt it would line up since...

  17. How not to unload a truck

Why do I think this is staged? Who would tightly hold on to a bar that is lifting you off your feet.
  18. Laminator backing take-up issue

I have the exact same RS and mine does it all the time at the beginning of a new roll maybe for the first 10 yards . I just advance it as it laminates. Never caused a real problem except when I forget. I could never figure out how it could change speeds on the take up as the roll filled up...
