Hi All, I'm trying to pixelate text to give it the same appearance as a background photo but whenever I use any effect it leaves a white box behind it, blocking out the photo. Any help on how to avoid this will be greatly appreciated. (Using Illustrator CC).

Hi all, relatively new to applying window perf and having a lot of trouble with air bubbles. I'm using optically clear laminate which is scratching way too easily so I haven't been too keen to push that hard with the squeegee. Any help appreciated.

When you convert the text to outlines, ungroup the letters then combine/weld them to make them all one object. That way you only have to subtract the effect from the text once, instead of once for each letter.

I did this seven years ago, was told to use basic acrylic paint that you'd use in a school art class and was very skeptical about it. Now the awnings are looking old and shabby but the paint (brushed on) still looks like it was applied yesterday.
