    If the cables were good on the black/cyan side of things you should have had yellow/mag printing. Replace the fuses (F2 F3) check continuity of the fuses, then...start by powering up without the heads connected. If it's a electrical issue this will blow the fuse. If you unplug, check continuity...

    Check the old blade...it may have a "chunk" broken from the tip area...this is common, it doesn't take much of a piece missing to make the blade chatter across the vinyl.

    In your Owners manual there is the instructions for Print Cut Adjustment, also do the Crop Adjustment while you're doing the adjustments. Also, there is a specific tension for the cable that moves your cutter and print heads... this may need adjusting, if it becomes too loose you will start...

    The XC is a GREAT printer! We sell used (when we can find them) but do NOT expect to pay "$20k less than new"...something would be majorly wrong for that price. A good used XC 540 is worth it's weight in gold and should sell for $22k-$25k if it still has warranty and a Roland Tech has gone...

    Align the heads to the cap top... they must be centered to work properly, if they are on the edge they will suck air. Then try your syringe...should work.

    Have a tech look at the history report, show a test print (this may show the scratches on the head in the service test print). Either way, figure about $1,000 to replace the head with labor and a good general service/alignment for the printer.

    The brass brush is for the GRIT rollers...won't damage the chrome finish...not to be used on the Pinch Rollers...simply wipe with a cloth and alcohol to clean. Sorry, I may not have been clear on that...my mistake.
