Make sure you have feather set at about 40 or so (feather may not show up till you click on the dotted rec. shape or whatever it is set on) then below the black pointer arrow (2nd icon down) the dotted rec. or oval etc. Select it and click on the photo layer and then use that dotted shape to go...
How big is the backlit?
I made a post about doing a layer on clear and then laying the second layer of translucent on top as a lot of others have said. But instead of trying to line things up and trying to lay it even as possible, I asked about using registration marks. Print the first layer...
My wife's vet clinic used to use the old Crown Vics for vet calls and they were some tough looking cars after the years and the strips were almost falling off and rust under them and all. Didn't think anything would work to hold them back on as they had been curved out so long and now held that...
I thought they didn't update the tracking due to it going into Canada but I feel better now knowing that its not just us up here....its everyone.
I do have to admit that at least with USPS you don't get a pile of brokerage charges on this end which at times can cost half as much as the items...
I know in the past to get better color out of a printed backlit its recomended to print a second layer on clear and lay the backlit media over top of that so in daylight the print looks normal and at night when lit it is not as washed out.
When you try to line up your layers it can be a bit of...
Not to make you feel bad.......in fact it just makes me feel worse but.....
10 C is like 50 deg F and going down to -40 deg F is actually a 90 deg F temp swing in less than 2 weeks. Never thought of it that way.
So +10C to -40C is like +50F to -40F
Oh well by Monday it is back up to 26...
wipe the media down with some isopropal and re print. If its gone it was static.
I have at times had just black show the static as there must have been a heavier spray for the black I used and just enough difference to show on black only.
Or try another media as some tend to be worse for...
You got to love a 40 deg C temp swing in the matter of a week to 10 days. Only in Alberta. Was in Hawii a couple of weeks ago and when we got gack the temp was over 10 deg C. (I was thinking Hawii was overrated) BTW Doug, nice to have met you and see your shop.
But now at 40 below C (same...
And our printers slowing down a bit is almost stopped :ROFLMAO:.
I never have found anything to do with the sleep mode and cleaning, although I never knew you could add a home made profile to colorchoice either untill on hear, a guy said about just using it as CMYK and sure enough it took the...
Yes, if you get air in the line from the cart to the dampers, it can somehow create a draw and not let the heads recharge with ink so while printing you will get drop out and a cleaning will recharge the head but if the bubble is still there it will happen again.
Another cause of this same...
The captops on the Old CJ and SC 500 printers are not available to buy just as captops. As far as I have found, you need to buy the whole capping station, well over $100.
If the rubber around the captops is still good then you can just replace the filter (white pads). I buy my filters as a...
Any chance that you notice that the printer will come awake out of sleep mode and do a cleaning in the SC500 mode if you leave the printer power on?
The CJ never does but was once told that these printers would (might be just SC mode but never heard another where it did)
I was gone 10 days...
If you compare a solvent print and a waterbased ink print you will see that the waterbased is brighter and looks better even though they can be printed from the exact same printer (one solvent and one waterbased).
Depending on the file if it was Srgb or Adobe 1998 rgb you can see a difference...
I never looked into it but if Colorchoice can still be downloaded for the Mac, you can use that to cut and print direct from Illustrator. Even though you don't need to add your files to Colorchoice, it still uses it for all your profiles and print settings, when you hit print from Illustrator...
I assume it was the same media used on both test prints? Was it a piece of media you have had sitting around for a bit and you did the test prints on that. Almost looks like contaminated media.
Some also look like what you get when the heat is not high enough but cleaning things should not...
There is a switch that can be flipped to go from a Cj to a Sc but it is not needed to be changed. The firmware is the same for both printers. Just call the printer a SC500 in whatever rip software you plan on using.
