There are thumbwheels attached to each head if you remove the cover on the gantry. Each 'notch' of rotation is 10 microns. You can run the Printhead Alignment Gantry Direction special print to do an accurate alignment with this method.

Can you convert your file to raster and try to print that? We get an odd issue every so often where our label machine will print odd borders around elements in a vector PDF. Rasterising the entire job @ 300dpi and then printing solves it for us.

I'd probably use a low surface energy vinyl like General Formulations 201-HTAP. Once that stuff sticks for a few hours, it really doesn't like coming back off.

We haven't had any issue printing onto gold and silver vinyls. We don't contour cut afterwards though. Just trimmed to a big rectangle/poster.

S60600 is faster than 2 Mutoh 1604 @ 720x720dpi (29sqm/hr vs. 13sqm/hr each) so this is probably a better option than the S80600 which is around 18sqm/hr for same resolution. We have the 80600, and don't find that is uses a lot of ink for the work it does. We have never compared it to the 60600...
