we were quoted over $400 for a roll of 54" x 100 or 150 foot(can't remember now) from our supplier for non curl banner material to use in retractable banners.
thought that was kinda expensive so wanted to see what ya'll were using or would recommend. i do have a swatch here from rite-media...
i have printed on the gerber using the special effects films by r-tape, just never on the roland.
i do like the idea of the speckled effect laminate though......i have requested a sample...i just hope i don't have to buy in a full roll of it as i would only need about a 1/4 roll at most.

now i know some illi or...
so your basing it on business life expectancy, not material life expentency? thats a new one on me! whatever works best you addy..... i know for a fact if i turned around to anyone around here and told them a 1.5' diameter graphic will cost them $325 i'd be openly laughted at!
if your not going with convex(the best choice)...then 3m will work. we have used both and its been great. we usually have convex instock as well as the lam for helmets but it is pricey and if your not going to use it often then agreed, go with the 3m....
