It depends on what Mimaki you are using. It sounds weird but, some of them, like the CJV150, have an ethernet port that simply won't let you send jobs to it but it's there specifically to setup the email alerts. You can actually use it along with the USB connection.
I think it's better to have defined roles but with the flexibility to help out where needed when it comes down to it. For example, it's hard to find a good designer let alone 5. I'm willing to bet out of the 5 of you, 1 or 2 are better designers and maybe even enjoy it more. I bet 1 or 2 of you...
Go into service mode and print the nozzle check. Your head prints multiple sized dots. Sometimes heads fail and only show the defect in one of the sizes. In user mode, the nozzle check prints only the largest sized dot. In service mode it will print the smaller dots and you might see a defect in...
I can think of 2 non-programming ways to accomplish this. You could have them simply download a CSV file of the orders every day and send the file with all the orders at once instead of one at a time. Or just have their platform CC you on order confirmations.
I use a password manager so it's not an inconvenience at all. Once someone can get into your email, they can get into pretty much every other account you have. Your email should be protected the most. Not to mention it looks pretty unprofessional when you customers get phishing emails from your...
Here's a guide from Mimaki: https://mimaki.com/archives/034/202106/CJV150_CJV300%20Metallic%20Color%20Printing%20Guide_e.pdf
You need to use colors from the Mimaki color pallet and you need to use the proper profile for it all to work. That PDF above goes through pretty much everything.
I get that but if there was ever a justified time to raise your prices, it's now when everyone expects it. We had to raise prices and every customer so far has said, "Yup we expected that."
I might be wrong but it seems like raising your prices slightly would solve the same problem with much less work. Also, how much time and money would you lose if after 5 to 8 weeks the rolls are not up to standard?
I agree with everything above. Sounds like you've got some worn out seals and air leaks.
I always thought this as well because dye sub is water based but I actually see the opposite. I'm not sure what it is about dye sub inks but they seem to eat up heads faster than the solvent inks. I'm sue...
The station on this machine is more like a Mimaki or Roland. The cap and pump are separate and it uses a diaphragm pump instead of peristaltic so the tubes should theoretically never break. A welcome improvement!
Try this:
Turn the machine on while holding the left and right arrow keys. It will boot in parameter input mode. Scroll up to parameter 130 called INITIAL and hit enter. Then change the value to a 1 and hit enter. Now power off using the main switch on the side. Now try and upload the CSV file...
In my experience the DX5/DX7 aftermarket cap tops tend to be good quality as long as they look similar to the OEM ones. The ones that have plastic screens in them instead of metal tend to be the worst. But compared to other aftermarket cap tops most of them are legit.
If the truck is white it should look good but I'd test it on a small piece and let the customer approve or not first. If the truck is any other color it might not work out so well. Ink is much more see through than it seems when you print on white vinyl. Print on some clear and take it off the...
