  1. Banner Print Quality Issues

A lot of banner material will curl on the edge if you don't finish it. It also makes a stronger point for the grommets so they won't tear themselves out.
  2. RIP iMac Pro

I think that comment was a joke (or hope it was)... the 11900 range is ~35-50% slower than a 3950X :big laugh:
  3. What Rip are most people using on their Epson S80600?

Onyx... bit of a learning curve, but once you get past that it's excellent and can do nearly everything you want.
  4. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

ColorCrest, are you able to show me a plot of Fogra39 vs. Epson Wide please? Edit: Nevermind, found an online site which was able to plot the comparison. It's weird, I've played with the EpsonWide profile before, but our colours seem to render terribly. For one reason or another, our supplier...
  5. Need Help Onyx how to flip every other tile sent as separate jobs?

It's a "feature" of latex printers. They can't print a panel consistently from top to bottom, so you need to flip every 2nd file so they somewhat match during install :roflmao: Do a search for "latex color shift" or "latex color consistency" for more info.
  6. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

We just print RGB 255/0/0 and we get excellent reds. What RIP are you using?
  7. Eco Solvent Ink for IPF 8400S Wide Format Printer

The thermal heads in that machine are fragile enough with aqueous inks... solvent would destroy them very quickly.
  8. Need Help Onyx how to flip every other tile sent as separate jobs?

We never print anything tiled, but I noticed this setting... maybe it'll help?
  9. What Would Cause Ink to Puddle Like This

How old is the roll of media?
  10. General Formulations...

Just to clarify, I think that last character should be a capital "O" and not a zero. Full product code is GF203OAPAE for the grey back w. air egress.
  11. Epson SC40610 poor quality on matt vinyl

What sort of profile are you using? How many passes and what resolution? This machine is capable of very high quality prints if set up correctly.
  12. Epson R- series print material?

It should print on anything that is latex compatible... this is most vinyl types that can handle higher temperatures required for curing. It is nothing like an aqueous machine.
  13. General Formulations...

We stock 201-HTAP all the time... the new AE (air egress) version is excellent to work with. 230 AutoMark isn't bad for wrap with mild curves either.
  14. Understanding optically clear laminate / Laminating reflective vinyl

Arctic Lustre has a matte texture, therefore it is not optically clear. Optically clears are generally cast, glossy and use an adhesive that when adhered to glass you can see right through it as if it weren't there.... i.e. optically clear without any aberration.
  15. Really hate to ask but... Any idea?

It's very close to "Edge of Madness" but I feel like I've seen this font in my collection somewhere.
  16. Invalid setting Epson printer?

Something has corrupted one of the printer configuration files in Onyx. Re-install the driver package.
  17. Idea for a new thread......................................................................

I'd certainly read it for historic value. I'd have very little to input, but would like to see if there's anything I can do today that could be improved by "how it used to be done".
  18. Need Help Police car graphics

What machine do you currently use?
  19. What is going on with my Graphtec 8600-160?

Thanks, just wanted to be sure. It does sound a bit like pre-feeding, however I'm not sure why it wouldn't cut the rest of the job once it checks media length and won't happen on other jobs. Would it be possible to share the suspect file? I could try it on our 8600-160 to try rule out a...
