  1. Printing on ij680cr

I must have gotten my info from a bad source! Whoops!
  2. 1624 missing cyan

Thanks for the shout out! I do see a single channel go out on some machines where it's not the head sometimes but you're right that it is more rare. Usually it's on these dual channel damper machine where there might be a bad seal on on but not the other and it causes flow issues.
  3. Printing on ij680cr

Looks like the official spec says it's only screen printable which is probably why no one has made a profile for it. I'd go with what ikarasu said. His suggestions are all reflective from other bands.
  4. 1624 missing cyan

Usually a single missing channel will be a bad damper but it could mean the head is damaged as well. A good way to determine which one it is is to simply swap the damper positions, run a cleaning, and print a nozzle check. If another color can print through that channel, the issue is most likely...
  5. laminate thin decal

You should be able to cut that vinyl and laminate combo just fine. I'd take a look at your blade instead. If the tip is broken off, get a new one. Also, use a higher angle blade and it will cut and weed better.
  6. Parts for Valuejet 626UF

I can get you virtually any Mutoh parts. Unfortunately their FTP site is down right now so I can't find a part number for the motor quite yet. Feel free to contact us and we can look into it further. support@solventinkjet.com
  7. CJV150-130 ink wastage

This is a good idea for the 600mL bags but not the 440mL cartridges unfortunately. The 440 cartridges don't use the weight system.
  8. cjv300 printing too long

It's in the setup menu and they call it Feed Comp. You might also adjust the pinch rollers to push down harder especially if they are all set to low right now. I usually set them to medium all the way across.
  9. cjv300 printing too long

Mimaki doesn't post print length accuracy specs anymore but their older models in general would spec +/- 1/8" over 8 feet. If you're printing longer than that, it can be off by more. So just keep in mind if you're printing long jobs that there is an expect amount of inaccuracy. Other than...
  10. PDF exports with grouped elements

In Illustrator there is an option when saving as a PDF to, "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities." I believe if that is checked it will keep all your groups and layers etc.
  11. CJV150-130 ink wastage

Every once in a while a cartridge will not empty fully but if it's happening on all the colors all the time, make sure your machine is at least close to level. If it's tilting enough in one direction, it can make the carts trip the empty sensor too soon. Also, it could be a sign that the...
  12. VJ 1324x pink hue glow around black

If you made a file in Illustrator or Corel and labeled it as 100% black, the RIP will still add the other colors in according to the color profile. You would need to specifically adjust the profile and it's settings to print a true 100% black. Saturn could still be right. The registration mark...
  13. UCJV300 - Whats your technique for getting the captops out?

They're pretty hard plastic. I'd use a small flat head screwdriver to get it out. You should be able to do one side at a time. I think the comments above have mistaken your UCJV300 for a CJV30 which is different.
  14. No ink flow in ink lines

If it sat for 6 months with ink in it, multiple areas could be clogged. The heads are most likely clogged but I would assume the cap top/pump/waste tubes could be as well. I'd pour some cleaning solution into the cap tops and see If I pull it through the waste tube. It should pull through fairly...
  15. Mutoh 1624x Printing problems

That yellow printing on the right side indicates an electrical issue but I also agree with the guys above that the nozzles also seem to be badly clogged. The cyan seems to be deflecting pretty badly as well. You could try doing some head soaks, and/or manually flush the head with a syringe but...
  16. What should I learn from this?

I'm sure the other guys will have some good insights for you but my first thought is you're using a calendared vinyl on rivets which is always going to tent and look bad. A cast vinyl will do much better and last longer.
  17. ink is leaching into one of my other colors in the print head

If you are seeing air in the lines than the connection between the damper and ink line might be broken. If you didn't change the o-rings when you changed the dampers, that's a good place to start. If you did change them, make sure they didn't roll up inside the nut which can break the seal. You...
  18. Can Legacy Onyx work with A Graphtec ce-7000 if it is not listed?

The Graphtecs can us HPGL or GPGL so I bet it would work if you simply choose any Graphtec model of the same size in the drop down menu.
  19. Good evening folks, looooong time lurker here

As someone who has installed many many printers, this is so right! It never gets easier. Also, the amount of times I've been told there would be no stairs and we show up and there are stairs is way too high.
  20. Mutoh VJ1624 board replacement. Issues with firmware

Mutoh makes it so you have to use the MSA (Mutoh Service Assistant) to replace boards. It has a technician mode that has a Board Replacement Wizard function. That function pulls everything off the old board, installs the firmware on a the new board, and then uploads the old board's information...
