I'm looking for a vendor or referral for a vendor to supply a Router Cut 1/4" White acrylic. With a Digital Print in a Solid Pantone of Green with the business name in white mounted to it, Size is apx. 20x30 (I will be field verifying the wall dimensions and location.) see attached for the...
nothing is wrong with remover......just not on glass......and yes you will get all of it off with soapy water......spray and let it sit a couple mins, then scrap it away. and it wont leave any of those harsh chemicals or slick film residue on top like remover does, then you gotta get crazy with...
Thats right, scrap every window.....i tint also, anyone that has tinted cars, homes, or commercial buildings would back me up.....target baby shampoo....industry standard for tinters.
not sure why anyone use paper towels to clean a glass or windows. they leave lint....
how i do it:
spay with soapy water, scrap with blade to edges and bottom from the top down, center out.
spray again, whip edges/frame with PT
then use a black blade unger squeegee to rid the water to the...
on glass only.......Soapy Water spay bottle with two drops of baby shampoo, Large 6" Razor Scraper. And a Unger Black Blade Window Washer Squeegee. and PT to whip the mullins/frame edges. I don't think you will be able to remove the UV Hazing on the glass. If its a must for the job for whatever...
Paul one more thought. If your piece if 3' X 7', what size is the logo? I would only pre-mask the logo portion, and also the top or leading edge with a 2" strip of pre-mask runner to keep it from stretching when peeling. I would peel and slap, no hinge on that one too. just get that window...
yes i do the same, i would bear up against wall graphics side in and remove the back linear, its easier that way and you can see if anything starts lifting with that clear linear.
someone also noted not to use soapy water, I do with dusted and frosted crystal cut graphics with pre-mask.....Use a Bottle with water, one drop of baby shampoo and you will be good. mist the film and Wet the glass more than the vinyl. after you apply you will need to let dry a bit before...
Lots of used plotters with software out there, shop them around. I think that is a great idea for a design program to have. here, ebay and signtrader.com are good places to look. You can find a great deal on a 24 or 30" cutter out there.
I would not attempt to install Avery etch on a paper liner at that size. What you need is a true "window film" not a "vinyl" I would look at Solyx or Llummar Window Frosts. They have lots of options to choose from. They have a clear synthetic linear that can get wet and is easily removed without...
Thanks for the input, I thought of making my own as well but prob wont get around too it. The Skidrill looks awsome, if i did a higher volume of post i would def get it!
