  7. 5" lighted sign rule????

If the face is too close to the bulb, you will see the bulb as a "hot spot" the whole length of the sign, making a wave of light pattern the whole face of the sign. I don't put flat lexan on anything less than 8 inches deep, I can see the bulbs on anything less, looks tacky to me.
  8. OK, Computer Gurus how do I get my files??? Please help!

Sounds like your hard drive went bad, you can purchase data recovery software & maybe recover your files, put you start up disk in & if you can boot off of it, the hard drive is the culprit, if you can't then you will need to put it in an enclosure to boot it & for heaven's sake start backing...

  13. Outfitting my shop... cutter and printer questions.

TSN, I also wanted to mention something about equipment & supplies. One of your greatest assets can be a good supplier, they sometimes offer advice about what material may work for certain jobs etc, also is there one that has local delivery to you? This is important because if you can get your...
  14. Big Squeegee

I use a piece of coroplast, about 2" x 55" when I do 54" lam by myself. I tape or staple it onto the release liner so I can have a handle on it while I push & pull at the same time, takes a little practice but it keeps me from running over the liner when I do 210 by myself. you can roll the...
  15. Outfitting my shop... cutter and printer questions.

TSN, It looks like the Summa Sign T1300 is just a plotter, You don't have to start out having a printer but in today's market it would be helpful. A lot of decisions you make will depend on your budget, one of the best business moves you can make is not to generate too much start up debt, also...
  16. VP540 - **HELP** Magenta marks in print

If I were you here are a couple of things I would try, First I would uninstall Versaworks & reinstall it. Also, I have seen some odd behavior from letting the machine sleep all the time instead of turning it off in the front & in the back once in a while. If the voltage is an issue, maybe try an...
