Just because your printer is located in your house, does not mean that you cannot be "Professional" in your pricing structure and approach. Plus, if you do under-cut your pricing just to get jobs, someday you may want to actually expand and take it full time, and you will be forced to raise your...
Huh? Solvent printing allows for the ink pigments to mechanically etch onto the surface of the vinyl. Some pigments are inferior, and thus will fade at different rates. But as long as you laminate your print you will get the required 2-3 year life out of the decal. If you use a thicker laminate...
Depends on your area. I used to be able to charge $6 - $8 per sq. ft. (California)
Now, my new clients (Las Vegas) can walk into any number of sign shops and pay only $1 - $1.50 per sq. ft. for banners. Hemmed and Grommeted.
Maybe you ought to "buy" a banner from 4 or 5 local sources. Don't...
Price is such a touchy subject in here. But let's be fair... in all business there is a sort of wholesale/mark-up/retail relationship that goes on, and the end user / customer has come to expect. We all just "know" that when your heater or a/c goes out that your repairman is going to get the...
Exactly... I think you've got it just fine. You should fit in well around here!
Welcome, btw... (I never say that to anybody... so feel special) :corndog:
But banners? Forget about it... $1 sq. ft. to the public here. I don't print them in house anymore. Meh :noway:
My CNC table time is $1.50 per minute. So that's not out of line. But as I mentioned in an earlier post yesterday, it's not about the time or square footage... that's just info for...
OK, fine... I'm in Las Vegas. And I do work with Trade Show stuff. I'll let you know that you can get at least $12 sq. ft. for that kind of work, all day. Especially if they get here and have a print emergency it can climb as high as $18 per sq. ft.
It's not a font per se, but this is at least a great start. Especially since your client wants other things lettered in a similar style. All you gotta do is just draw those 3 letters you have and incorporate those into this art set, and the client will never know...
He's the Vanilla Ice of his generation. He'll be lucky to be on "Where Are They Now?" shows after many failed stints in rehab and jail time. Once you aren't cute anymore, it's hard to make a comeback and reinvent yourself. He's not musically talented enough to do so. Yeah, he was good at the...
Don't worry... everybody already knows about the font finder places. However, sometimes the guys in here are much faster and more accurate. I think it's the best resource on the net for finding fonts. A pool of people with nothing better to do than to be first to identify an obscure font by...
It's close, but not quite. Anyway, if you are going to send someone to a "Free Font" site, make sure the font author isn't a member here first. A&S Fonts are copyrighted. (As are LHF Fonts) They are created by sign guys for sign guys.
I think Steve would appreciate the patronage...
