  1. 48" hotdog. Seriously....

I wonder how long before someone sticks googly eyes on it... Very nice, please update with a photo including the condiments if you have one.
  2. FB700 Roll to Roll - Way to Much Skew

Hello, Any time we try to use our roll-to-roll attachment on the FB700 to run banner we seem to run into issues. 90% of the time the media will skew up to 1" through the run of banners. This makes double sided banners problematic if not impossible. Does anyone have any tips/tricks that they've...
  3. Question on laminate for decals help me figure out what this stuff is!

Long shot here, but we use 3M 8991 for graffiti protection. It's expensive, but it's high gloss, thick, rigid, and sounds very similar.
  4. Outsourcing 4x8 coro

You can request that they don't score and fold, but will have to pay freight. At least they used to do that.
  5. Beer pull handle prototype.

I like the look. I'd make little translucent paw prints and drip marks to make it look like a wet dog just ran across it. Fun project!
  6. Looking for Used Laminator Source

Our Seal 62 finally seems to have given up the ghost. Raising/lowering the rollers is a gamble whether or not you will get the correct height listed on the panel. Getting it lowered to 0" takes about 5+ minutes of trial and error. Really want to get something comparable as to not loose out on...
  7. Need a Vendor Capable of Producing These Signs

No, not ADA compliant. Client made the choice to get "close enough". Perhaps could be call ADAlmost...
  8. Need a Vendor Capable of Producing These Signs

Looking for a shop that is able to produce the attached signage. White and dark brown applique lettering, clear braille, painted yellow base (1/4") with round over edges. Would be interested in seeing a quote for 3 pair. I'd prefer it if the work was a little cleaner than what is pictured... PM...
  9. Anybody remember this old cutter?

That thing is a piece of history. I'd display it somewhere. Much like I have antique typewriters on display, this would look great in a simple case or on a stand in a lobby.
  10. Should I use this vendor for channel letters ?

Another +1 for Direct Sign Wholesale. Responsive, competitive, and a great product.
  11. 3m 1080 carbon fiber plotting????

Impressive. I guess I won't be overly concerned with medium to large detail cut wrapping vinyl.
  12. 3m 1080 carbon fiber plotting????

I've never trusted using 1080 to cut lettering, lines, or small elements because of the nature of the adhesive? Does it last using it in this manner?
  13. HDPE versus HIPS - Differences?

I've had a few quotes in the past requesting HDPE, or polyethylene. Not a material we typically work with, and not very common among our suppliers. For plastic that is similar in thickness (.055" requested) we would typically use HIPS, .060". Has anyone used both of these? What are the...
  14. So, what is it you want.......??

After reading many comments on this thread, and the threads which this one references, I just can't get this scene out of my mind. Not directed at anyone in general - but sometimes the best advise isn't given with the best delivery.
  15. Propane Trucks Letters Lifting

Sounds like you may need to start a new topic in order to get helpful responses. You can go to the applicable forum and click start new thread to do so.
  16. .060 Styrene - What to do with the waste?

We've run a few large projects on .060" styrene, all have left scrap that is about 2-3' x 4'. We have a ton of these pieces left (not figuratively, a literal ton, 2000+ lbs) and I don't really know what to do with them. Recycling seems like a waste, but I don't think we'd ever use the waste on...
  17. What kind of substrate for brushed aluminum lobby sign

We'll use MaxMetal or DiBond, mask the front and spray the edges with Krylon metallic silver, and then remove the mask and add graphics. It eliminates the black/metal sandwich look on the edges.
  18. A Rough One to Match

Either of these stand out to anyone? Terrible picture, but the best I have right now.
  19. soljet pro iii

Is this the cross cut function, or are you plotting printed vinyl?
  20. Clear/Translucent Coroplast

Sure they aren't asking for the clear(ish) coro?
