yeah. Using the software you're unable to push firmware as it does a check to see if you're updating a compatiable version. Computer says no. Flashing the firmware direct to the chip avoids that.

I just upgraded firmware for my JV33-160bs to V4.5 that included BS3 & BS4 ink types. If you can work out how to include or unlock solvent inks, you're gonna be a ledgend. But from my experience, the Mainboard is what will determine if you can run solvent inks. Apparently there's two versions...
