Hey...I've never cut Alumet panels before and since I've switched over from MDO I've never had to as most signs we do use the full panel. Anyhow...is there a specific way to cut this stuff?? Do I need a different blade on my saw? Thanks for your help !!!
my first sign was an 18x24 aluminum sign out front of a motel. It has a full vinyl dark green background with yellow graphics & lettering. It's still up to this day. Been there for 11 years! lol I HATE IT!
Is it a software suite...frankly...I don't care if it's not the "cool" thing to do as I have to keep the clients budget and final product appearance my priority :) If I were to custom design what he's looking for...I'd have to charge him 2 times the price...and I'd rather make the sale than send...
Hey y'all....what are some good sites that you can suggest to get high quality digital vehicle striping & decal files. I'm particularly looking for stuff that looks like torn metal with some sort of image on the inside. And of course once I'm there...whatever else I feel would be great to have...
I hear ya...I myself need to rework the space I have badly and I really need a garage that I can us to decal cars and put together larger signs. But I bought a very old building in 2006 and it's been eating all my money!! lol It has a very large appetite!! lol Next time I go down to...
LOL...come to think of it...we're probably getting our materials from the same supplier...because last time I had a long run of banners I came up shorter than expected. I just thought I must have forgotten a job that I printed before starting that run. Hmmm...fishy...and another thing that...
Bigdawg...I agree with you. Maybe that makes me your "trippie hippie sister" and I'm ok with that. We all have our days and we all have had the opportunity to help another here at signs101. I just feel that if you don't like the post, or feel you can help the poster...just simply refrain from...
well...I thought it might have the flavour this type of biz might suit. :) Wish I had more time to contribute some ideas.
Hope you make out alright with it. Good luck!
I have a 2 stage tat on my upper back. I got it when I turned 30. It is a Celtic peice. The Tree of Life and with some added embelishments a couple years after the initial peice was done. All the colours and images represent me as a mother & wife. I plan on getting more. My father passed away in...
I was too...but then I just kept on printing and didn't notice much difference.
Whenever I get service work done..there is paperwork that the tech and I have to fill out and if there are any concerns I have...I note it there. Did you have anything like this? If not...maybe it's time for a new...
I was having issues after my supplier sent me a roll of banner material that had not been wrapped in plastic...and I didn't realize how dirty it was ...anyhow...it nearly recked my head. So...I left my head soak over a 4 day weekend...and when I came back in it was better...not perfect...but...
1 single head strike shouldn't cause that big a prob...unless it was all the way down the media. I'd try a nozzle wash and see what that does.
:( sucks tho.
I do a fair bit of Heli decals too...was just looking at that very same issue the other day. I use 3M 220 metalic or opague colours for this customer and only 1 side has the edges releasing within a a half a year approx. The owner of the company knows that its because of the oils and heat coming...
I can get sample rolls (about 3 yards x 18") from my supplier for all Digital media they sell...IF it's in stock. And frankly...it's not enough to help you decide if its good or bad...so...my suggestion is do what I did...wait for an opportunity to bring something in when you have a project or...
nothin' ...that's the cool part...they're great for advertising a biz or event...they can be used as a stick down or not. I got the idea when I got a mousepad in the mail that was contour cut round. I noticed that it had been printed on decal material. I thought to myself...hmmmmm....that's a...
