  1. VE LXI Master Ver. 6

OK, I'll be there Mom here.... Backup, backup, backup. I use Nero to make an ISO of all my important discs. Then burn the raw ISO's to a DVD and store it away somewhere.
  2. What Clipart would you buy if you were in the market for it?

I found this to be an good collection (3600+ designs) that is not overpriced @ $39 http://www.signtorch.com/showbundle.htm?s=signtorch#thumbs

  4. Pulling hair out - Probably easy but I can't get it

OK so here's the deal. Cutting a large number of reverse cut signs. Have everything setup but am worried about the extremely pointed edge of some of the letters. (See attachment) Any ideas how to achieve my goal in Flexi? It is a long, boring story but I have to use the Arial Narrow...
  5. BUSTED!!! Now what???

Yes, CCleaner is what you want to use to delete all the "tracks". Just be careful to look over the default settings before you let it loose.
  6. Flexi is eating up memory till it PUKES!!!!!!

Our previous workstation that ran Flexi had 2Gb of RAM. Just built a new Dual-Core with 4Gb of DDR2 but haven't noticed any memory related issues. Guessing you are doing much more complex graphics than we do though.
  7. Text "end stretch" in Flexi?

    Thanks a bunch.
  8. Text "end stretch" in Flexi?

What I mean is where the end letters are taller than the middle ones. The tops of the text remains flat while the bottom curves, longer at the end. You see this a lot of time with additional smaller text tucked up in the curve. Below is crude example.
  9. No More Dongle Key

Most of us will pay, if we feel we are getting value for our money. Obviously Flexi is ridiculously overpriced, so much so I contemplated not buying it, but my upbringing would not allow me to snag a cracked copy.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"...
  10. "Nudging" in Flexi

So you know how you can select and move objects around in Flexi with the cursor keys? Is there a way to control the step size of the move? I'd swear I've adjusted it before, but maybe it was another program.
  11. Air bubbles under vinyl

Small bubbles absolutely go away on there own, at least they do here in the Midwest in the summertime. When I first started, before I watched the Rob Ivers tapes, I had a heck of a time with bubbles. The graphics that were affected (they were all our own) are flat as a pancake now and look...
  12. freevectors.net

Outstanding. Thank you for the link.
  13. How to adjust length in Flexi or Corel without changing end radius

Thanks for all the excellent input. I will be trying them tonight.
  14. How to adjust length in Flexi or Corel without changing end radius

I have a very simple graphic I need to adjust the various lengths of from about 12-48" My issue is when I stretch it in Corel or Flexi the end radius changes. I know this has to be ignorantly simple, but I'm still learning both programs. I think I can hack it, but would rather know how to...
  15. Backing up - Let me ask you this

I too have reformatted the wrong drive by mistake. I was lucky as heck as I had a copy of Winternals Disc Commander and it got everything back even though I had also repartitioned the drive. Of course now that MS owns them I have no idea how good the program is now. Also, best $89 I ever spent...
  16. Backing up - Let me ask you this

OK, what would happen if I came in, took out the hard drive(s) from you main design and/or production computers and beat them flat with a hammer? The reason I ask is this evening when I plugged in my main design/production machine it flashed like a camera and made some “Pzzzzzt - poof...
  17. Font ID request

Don't you fellas ever sleep?? ;-) Thanks for the feedback. Being as I quoted the mags at $52 I don't think a $42 font is feasible. Hopefully I can find something close enough. Your feedback gives me another avenue to pursue. Wonder if there is a "similar to" web site for fonts? That would...
  18. Font ID request

The Jay Nixon text? I can't find it. Anyone?
  19. Downgrad to XP from Vista..........

Thanks for the link although I consider Vista to XP an upgrade rather than a downgrade. My XP boxes are solid as a rock, while my Vista ones require reinstallation for no good reason and bitch, whine and complain all the time ala http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuqZ8AqmLPY Don't get me wrong...
