you need to get your tracking better, the notch will be where the black dots are inline, all down to tracking make sure its square in the cutter.

Its a problem with all the latex inks, there is a wax in it to stop scratching, slow the laminating down to 0.6, and some heat helps.

Alan we have a JV3 160 SP, not been used for 18 months, but it switches on every 4 hrs to do its clean, with some spare ink, Brand new printer head (never used) take up, yours for £500 im based near Blackburn.
