That's the foil ramp. You should be able to get it through a Gerber distributor or straight from Gerber. I almost gave you the toll free number till I saw you were in the UK. Check with you distributor. Good Luck

I don't think the VG will print that info. I think you need to get a peck report using the Copeck tool. Then a Roland tech can save it as a format that you'd be able to read for you.

The card readers connect to the heater control board, so that firmware is one of the first obstacles that the signal has to overcome on the way to the main board.

I think that "Posters" tends to indicate a 5' plus viewing distance. You are correct though, if this were for a POP display at a cash register with a 1 foot viewing distance, you'd want to bump it up somewhat.

I don't know about perfect, but I've always recommended 100 - 150 dpi at full size and you'll usually be satisfied with the output. (All bets are off though if you're printing for a bunch of picky printer operators with loupes in their pockets ;))

Have you tried using copy>paste or step and repeat? I'm on version 19 and the duplicate function sets the new object just a little up and a little to the right. If I remember correctly that was a feature enhancement a while back. I don't really use duplicate too much, so I don't remember...

It's hard to tell without knowing what the exact media is. Can you get a holder for a Sharpie Pen? I know Graphtec has them for their plotters. And I've seen some customers just wrap enough tape around a sharpie so that the pen holder will grab it solidly. Good Luck

Not sure on this one. I opened it up in VW6 and printed on my VG2 and it looks great. I'm loading the original VW on my computer so I can at least see what the preview does - I won't be able to print out of Versaworks though. I'll let you know what I find out.

Don't leave the fluid in. Get out as much as possible. You don't want it to leak out while in transit.

Or you could try the generic HPGL driver as well. Just make sure you set your language on the plotter to HPGL.

The encoder sensors rarely go bad in my experience. There should be no physical contact with them and the power supplied to them is generally steady. There's an LED on one side and a light sensor on the other side. If you don't have your encoder strip centered between the two arms, it can rub...
