  1. Mutoh ink problems

Mutoh USA just going to continue to give people the run-around on the ink problems. Mutoh is a Japanese company and their corporate office is in Japan. The Japan way of doing things is not the way things are being handled in the States. If you want to complain I suggest...
  2. Mutoh 1304 maintenance station - where to buy?

I have used and recommend these ^
  3. dual core or quad core

Dual core is more then enough for graphic and video editing. Bare in mind Windows XP only supports up to 4gb of memory. Also dual core stays much cooler then quad core, might be important if you live in the desert. :P CPU vs RAM compatibility: If you go with a dual core CPU on a DDR3 board...
  4. Mutoh Toucan LT Trying to Print White

Production Manager sounds like Flexi to me. You should try reducing magenta in your linearization settings to attempt to temporarily remove pink from white... And you will need to get or make a good ICC profile. Search the forum.
  5. Mutoh new ink disaster

    Pro photo :)
  6. printing extra black, makes shadow

You need to print a "nozzle check" from your service menu on the printer, and then adjust head alignment until your nozzle check looks good.
  7. Anyone have any thoughts? Bad media?

Try changing your ink density (linearization?) in the RIP. Not a permenant solution but possible work around.
  8. Mutoh new ink disaster

I folded some currogated plastic and wedged a piece under each of my cartridges, noticed a nice change for the better in my nozzle check. :)
  9. Noise coming from suction motor?

Glad I asked before diving in then. I don't think so.
  10. Noise coming from suction motor?

Started hearing an annoying noise that I think is coming from a motor under the surface plate that sucks the material down. Suction still good but looking for suggestions as to what may have caused the problem and how to fix it. Search didn't come up with any answers on this one. -_-
  11. Mutoh new ink disaster

Regardless of the problem with the machine, and it does sound like a damper issue now, there is still a problem with Mutoh's new ink.
  12. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Lol...Wow... Yeah dude, that is suppose to hold the pads down... while printing... not shipping.
  13. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Maybe the person I spoke with was just having a bad week. I don't know. I had some very good conversations with them and some very hostile and disturbing conversations with them, which are very memorable and I didn't appreciate. All of my experiences with other techs in the server dept. have...
  14. Need more help with JR

Try your luck with asking support@mutoh.com for a PDF version. My boss is allowing me to take ours home today so when you give me a call I can walk you through it.
  15. Need more help with JR

Do you have a service manual? You have to set the head ranks when you replace the heads, as well as pull ink back into the dampers with a syringe. And you have to "home" your carriage in the hidden menu when you replace the maintenance station. Pictures/more details would be helpful.
  16. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Alright about a month ago my capping station pads swelled up, and I had a chat with fellow signs101 member, Robert M at signagespecialist.com who informed me that the problem was most likely due to the new inks Mutoh started releasing. He informed me that he was receiving orders for capping...
  17. Dancing Girl Video

So glad I watched this with audio off. :)
  18. Black print head round 2

It's a clear strip that runs the length of your printer. The carriage board hovers over the top of it, and the encoder strip tells your print heads where to fire. A dirty strip will cause them to fire in places you don't want them to. You have to clean it with a lint free cloth and some kind of...
  19. Having printing problems lately with mutoh??? Read

A problem with the cartridge should not be causing the capping station pads to swell. But at least they're acknowledging that there's a problem.
