Not sure about this but have you checked to make sure you are CMYK artwork not RGB to begin with. Some times RGB to CMYK conversion may cause a problem you are describing. Just a suggestion...!

Attached is the comparisons sheet between the printers, pros and cons. Although, last update on this document is 1/19/2010 may be some of the elements has reversed already, like media selection. And, I am sure HP has some comparisons sheet similar to this as well. Just a food for thought.

I would suggest that you do your home work about latex printer before you invest in to it. Go to Epson's web site and read the comparison between a solvent printers and latex printer.

Will this method help keep the nozzles unclogged/preserve being clogged? I am in the same boat with SightLine except my head is solvent. I just did a flush yesterday again (after reading this thread) all 8 nozzles are firing beautiful but I did not know I had to flush it every so often until...

Checking the dampers is one of the first things I did. It seemed they were low, low being little more than half full in the dampers. Problem is still there, I haven't resolved it yet. Next thing I am gonna try is to check the refresh rate.
