  3. Reflective Wrap?

This wrap sure looks reflective... 3M 680 is all I've seen that could maybe do this... anybody know?
  4. What Product do you use for Solid Color Wraps ?

Not at all true. The Porsche that's pictured above got wrecked a few weeks ago. I had to re-wrap one whole side of it with no help (other than a mechanic who helped for 2 minutes to get the paper off). Let's just say I had to reposition it a few times.
  5. First wrap - Fender Flairs Suck

Not sure this thread was about design, but... The customer worked with us to refine the design. We initially had it more commercial looking. It doubles as his personal vehicle and he was "more concerned about it looking cool than being readable" so we went with more of a custom painted look...
  6. First wrap - Fender Flairs Suck

To the edge of the wheel well.
  7. First wrap - Fender Flairs Suck

We generally remove everything we can, including flares. The truck below is the same body style with the same fenders. We removed them, wrapped the bedside, reinstalled them and then printed patches for the actual flares. More work? Yes, but it looks better, there''s no paint showing around the...
  8. What Product do you use for Solid Color Wraps ?

+1 for Oracal 970RA We did two of these Porsche GT3 cars with it in silver metallic. The hood and trim was 3M carbon fiber.
  9. Another Company besides Fellers ?

We use Fellers, Pioneer & Harbor. I've generally not had to wait more than 2 days for anything from Fellers and more often than not, it's one day (Order late afternoon and it's outside my door when I get here in the morning). formanek is right, you need to go through your regional sales rep. The...
  10. shop truck wrap, critique it!

I'm finally getting around to wrapping this truck that I bought almost a year ago. Designing for myself is so much more difficult than for a customer. I can't decide if I should keep tweaking this or scrap it and start over.
  11. Truck wrap vinyl size

We use 60" material all the time. Less seams on big jobs like box trucks and in some cases you need the extra 6" to avoid a seam all together. It's worth the extra $. You will never say "I wish I had bought a smaller laminator."
  12. Out of town installation

  14. Trailer Door

Well, it was my best friend, so he knows how we do things. Also, he gave me a disc with about 40 pics on it, so we just picked the best ones.
  15. media initial AFTER print

    Yes. Thanks for your help!
  16. Trailer Door

The customer (my best friend's Dad) gave me a disc full of photos of the car in the trailer as well as photos of the empty trailer. These were just from a regular old digital camera, nothing special. We blew it up and printed to scale from a flattened .tiff @ 72 DPI on our Mutoh 1614. Normally...
  17. media initial AFTER print

After it prints, it goes into media initial but it doesn't even sense both sides of the media. It just says media initial and then when the head gets about 4" out of the station, it throws the error code. If we send two prints, it will try to initial the media after the first print and then...
  18. media initial AFTER print

Our 1614 seems to be following the path of our 1604, self destruct one week after the warranty expires. The current dilemma: We fire it up and send a print. It prints the whole file and then attempts to media initial AFTER the print and then the good ol' catch all E074 CR2. Power down, then...
  19. Trailer Door

We whipped this out quick yesterday in time for the customer to hit the road for a car show.
  20. New to wrap

The 3651 is available with air egress. We've used it on tons of flat surfaces and even over rivets with 290 lam. 3551 RA is with 290 is our preferred material for a job like this. On large vertical panels, I find it installs easier than cast because it has less tendency to stretch as you move...
