  1. Hand Carved Fox....Step x Step

That's fantastic work! What steps do you use in the painting process? Primer, sanding, etc.?
  2. any bicycle enthusiasts?

It's on ebay if you know anybody. Search Cannondale Raven and it will come up. Thanks!
  3. Wraps I have designed

Good stuff. Love the bomber theme buggy.
  4. Trailer Door Wrap.

I like the first one with the logo at the top a lot better. You've got a good start there. I like that the .com is big with the logo, that's more important than the phone number. I've been shopping for an RC boat to take with us on our 1:1 boat, something economical and turn key that requires...
  5. any bicycle enthusiasts?

Mostly carbon & titanium. It's amazingly light.
  6. any bicycle enthusiasts?

So, I finally decided that I'm probably never going to ride this again and even if I do, something less complicated will probably suffice. It's a carbon fiber Cannondale Raven 2000 with a "Lefty" fork (has electronic lock-out). It was built by a friend years ago and supposedly has...
  7. Dogs Anyone?

I had a yellow lab when I was a kid and he was great. We have a Boxer now. He has a great personality. Hank typically doesn't like other dogs, and I have a few friends with Boxers that have the same complaint. I won't lie, he does slobber a bit. Otherwise he is the perfect dog. As you can see...
  8. Order from heck.

Must be in the stars today. I just got a call from a designer / marketing guy who we partially wrapped a truck through last week. The wrapped part is basically just a printed solid color across the bottom of a crew cab dump truck (cab only). We printed from a tiff swatch that he sent. The end...
  9. Thinking of buying the SignWarehouse Vehicle Wrap Kit

Because they're cost effective and the print quality is fantastic, maybe? Call me crazy but that's why we got ours. Also, I know that you're satisfied with your SW experience, but you should really consider giving Fellers a shot at it. The Graphtec plotter is very good and the Seal laminator is...
  10. anyone here doing these wraps???

There's no way you'll even get out of your driveway with that turned on in PA. "Ornamental lighting" is strictly prohibited. I know from experience. My fear is that, just as they do with window tint, the local Barney Fife's will target the shops that are installing something like this.
  11. wrap printing pricing

Yea, because there's no way that a prospective customer could ever find any of this info via google in less than 2 minutes.
  12. Big Thanks to Dale and the Big Squeegee

apparently, I need more training with the BS. Congrats to you on knockin' that one out, but our BS has tons of dust on it. I just can't make it work like my Seal.:notworthy:
  13. One of Wednesday's projects - police tahoe

ok, you called me out. Sorry, I forgot! Everything but the gold is printed on Nikkalite reflective.
  14. Arlon DPF600X

Our local supplier has a special on Arlon DPF600X wrap film and the corresponding cast laminate. We usually use Oracal, but the price during this promotion is extremely good. I'm thinking of trying it out. Does anybody have any experience with it?
  15. Toterhome / Trailer combo

It took 2 of us 4 days. I stayed late and worked on it by myself a couple of nights, but we also mixed a few small jobs in while we had it.
  16. Toterhome / Trailer combo

The customer just picked this up. I'm going to the lake for a few days, I need the rest after this thing... whew!
  17. Question from Wrap Newbie

Tips & tricks? Practice. We use Oracal, but definitely start with 3M. We design in Photoshop. The Bad Wrap templates are helpful and save time, but I can't stress enough to DOUBLE CHECK the measurements. We design full scale @ 72 DPI. It'll get easier... eventually. There is a wealth of...
  18. helmet

Fingers on the edges, copyright infringement in the middle... I'd wrap 'em the old fashioned way... with paint (if ya can).
  19. Thoughts on Orajet 3551RA for boat wrap??

We wrapped a bass boat 2+ years ago with 3951RA and 290G lam. We sealed the edges with a 1/2" strip of lam. I am very good friends with the guy who owns the business that primarily sponsors the boat and the actual owner of the boat. It is still holding up well, the owner told me that the only...
  20. Transit Connect Side Molding

I don't have a single local competitor that removes a darn thing from a vehicle before wrapping it. Our prices are generally higher but we've still won a ton of jobs by referrals and people who have had it done the wrong way by other shops.
