  1. Suggestions Looking to upgrade to new HP Latex Printer

if there's a need for 60" then L335/365, otherwise the L115 is a good bang for the buck or a L315 (though the price difference between the L315 and the L335 is negligible).
  2. Window Perf and Laminate

1360Z is what we use here. 8518 is "clear" but it's a little yellowish. been using some off brand PanoRama Protect (since the Avery has been unavailable) lately which has worked fine as well.
  3. Wrong color

Color management settings changed in illustrator or flexi? are they spot colors? It looks to me like they may have been printing as spots on one printing and built CMYK/RGB on the other.
  4. Oracal 651 vinyl

we used a lot of 651 for cut work for vehicles when we acquired another shop because that's what he had been using. We've migrated the majority of that to 751. Never really had 'issues" with the 651 though our installers like 751 better and it should last longer.
  5. Need Help My 3200 printer recieves and prints very slowly, here are my details

from his photos, the only connection I see is ethernet.
  6. Need Help My 3200 printer recieves and prints very slowly, here are my details

This sounds like he's got a crossover cable between the printer and whatever's running the software. I can't tell but it sounds like the cable's been replaced but still seems sketchy (like Cat5 vs Cat5e or Cat6). Routing through a switch with some good cables like netsol said sounds like a good...
  7. Onyx print color difference question

is one set as a named spot (still being C100%) and one still in process as C 100%?
  8. Tent Fabric Sublimation

    801-305-1655... it's in his footer.
  9. Visions Laminate

90% of the time yes... some weird installs we don't. Usually with Avery 1360Z
  10. Question Sheets vs Roll Process

oh... true. I was visualizing the prints being pre-cut but that'd be stupid. Much better to lam before cutting.
  11. Question Sheets vs Roll Process

Ahhh... the use of kraft paper is to keep the adhesive from the overlam from getting everywhere and getting things all stuck if you're not going roll to roll (or running backside laminate in the same pass). I've never physically tried this but if you precut laminate to something close in size...
  12. Question Sheets vs Roll Process

did you lose your ability to do it your old way? I have roll fed laminators and i still table mount sheets when I'm not running long runs.
  13. Magnetic Panels

I've routed the steel skinned dibond before... didn't seem any different than ACM.
  14. SureColor V7000 10-Color 4' x 8' UV Flatbed Printer

also can't wait to replace my H1625... 8 min a board would be 2x as fast as the H1625.
  15. Printing Latex on Clear Material

the way it's written, it sounds like you want something rigid? you said "hung". Also remember that the backside would be a mirror of the front side.
  16. How much would booklet printing cost?

what Stacey said might be the best option, though possibly Office Depot or Fedex Office if you can lay the artwork out ahead of time. I'm basing this on the assumption of a 1 off print or small quantity. A small quick printer (like one of the franchise shops, ie: Minuteman, Allegra...
  17. Flatbed Printers

I had Xante demo the X33 here (not sure why my boss brought him in though). I would not recommend that machine for doing anything outside of promo work and the occasional one off yard sign. Machine is only big enough to run one at a time so it's really a time sink in labor if you're trying to...
  18. HP Latex 700 Large Format Printer - 64

We just replaced our 310 w/ a 700... color quality is at least as good as the 310 (I had an antique version of Onyx before, so the new version of that alone lets me do better color matching). It's at least 2x as fast. Obviously you're also now 64" vs 54" and if you go with the white version, you...
  19. Slitter, Cutter, Creaser - non sign related

we also have a duplo here... I think the 646, but I'm not in that building much so I've forgotten. It's a workhorse though iirc it's a bit more pricey than the graphic whizzard.
  20. New HP Latex 700 and 800 series - with White ink

Similar to what the guy who did the install said... I just haven't had enough time to play around with new print modes yet to experiment (no difference between 6p and 8p though). As a follow-up, alignment definitely needed tweaking. That got rid of the magenta haze. Still a bit fuzzy in the...
