I know 3m makes their 8900 series laminate but it’s pricey. Is there another brand out there that produces textured laminates in a fabric, canvas, or linen texture?
Has anyone used Lexjet Print N’ Stick?
We’ve been using it and it bubbles and channels the next day when we installed a big project on some 16’ walls. It seems to be fixed with a heat gun and squeegee. Has anyone dealt with this?
Every time I install Phototex on large walls I get bubbles and channels that appear after installation. I push them down and you come back. The only way I’ve fixed it is with a little wallpaper paste in the area.
Any suggestions on what to do to fix this? Could I be installing this wrong?
Does anyone have recommendations on a place to buy replacement parts for HP Latex printers?
I have a L110 and I may have to replace a hard drive and I know it needs a new carriage belt as well.
I just updated my HP Latex 110 firmware and now I’m getting a 79:04 error and it’s not connecting to the rip software anymore. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?
We’re printing on Aslan DFL 302 etched vinyl. It dosn’t say what laminate can be used. Does anyone have any recommendations?
We were thinking Avery 2080 because we like the matte look.
Can anyone give me an explanation for why this vinyl is pealing. We installed this on the front glass of this building with etched windows. We used 3m ij 40C with 3m 8510 laminate. This building does get a lot of direct sun.
We’ve wrapped these same windows in the past with no problem.
Should...
I may have to liquid laminate some Phototex. I don’t have the need to liquid laminate things that often so I don’t have a liquid laminator.
My question is can you rollout your print and spray a light film with a hlvp sprayer and get good results?
Also, how long should I wait to roll up and...
I’m about to buy a Epson s80600. Can anyone tell me if there are issues with edge curling when printing murals. Our main thing is printing murals. I hear solvent printers have this issue.
For years we've been using 3M IJ40-r vinyl for a majority of our vinyl prints including wall murals. We liked it because it's a good versatile vinyl we could use for many types of applications. Now that is's close to $500 a roll when it use to be under $300 it's eating into our margins too much...
I’m kinda stuck on what to get for wall mural printing. We run HP Latex printers and we’re tired of the color shifts, panels not matching up, and terrible grays.
I’ve been highly considering an Epson S80600 but don’t want to spend 20k and it not be the right fit.
I’m considering an S40600 to...
I’m looking into a new printer for printing wall murals. Would like suggestions. I run a hp latex 365 and 110. I’m tired of the color consistency issues from both and I haven’t heard good things about the 700 and 800. I’ve been hearing the new Epson R series printers are better for color...
I have a small young sign shop. With the downturn in the stock market, supply chain issues, inflation, etc.. How badly is the sign industry effected? Any advice on what clients to focus on and how to survive?
I’m in the market for a budget laser. I’m liking the Aeon Mira 9 because of its big bed and it’s compact design. My shop has a small doorway and no way to get a bigger machine in.
Does anyone have any experience with Aeon lasers and if they are any good?
In the next few months I may have to buy a 2nd HP Latex printer. I currently have the 110 and will be keeping it as backup. We’re about to pick up a big client and will need the features of the HP 365.
I was wondering if I should hold off as long as I can for the new model? I’m really...
I'm taking on a big client for our small print shop. The client is a large museum that gets temporary wall wraps for each of their exhibitions that last 3 or 4 months.
I'd like to know what's the best vinyl and laminates to use on their walls that will produce the least amount of damage when...
