I've been waiting years for this hand held cnc router to come out! Finally got an email they will be selling at the end of this month!
I know the pros will laugh at me. I had wanted a $1500 X carve for a while, but seems like many users had issues...
I will be making a 2 ft dia ring light which has an internal diameter of 1.5' so it will be a 3" wide circle of light. Approximately used 30 times a year for 4hrs at a time for taking photos with an ipad.
channel will be 2" deep and covered with 1/16 white polycarbonate makrolon.
I have tried...
I often have to cut out rectangular holes in 0.062" aluminum sheet metal. I've tried various methods, nibblers, jig saw, but the best by far for a professional finish is a palm router with 1/8" carbide upcut bit using a router bushing and template guide. Looks like it was done by machine...

here's my review, works great, just need to add a washer to bring blade out and grind down some of the faceplate aluminum for clearance.
jsut got my blades intoday will try to mout them on my circular track saw tomorrow.
they are quite thick around 8mm so it will be fun to see if they fit?
I sell kiosks made out of 80 mill thick prepainted white aluminum sheet metal. The finished box is about 1x2x3 feet in size with rounded corners. It gets moved around about once a week and customers often mess up the baked enamel paint on them.
I'm wondering if there is a covering that is easy...
thanks for the tip. Have you used that resellers' v groove blade at $180 its 5 times more expensive then the direct from China one AND IT ONLY WORKS ON TABLE SAW? SORRY, doesnt' seem to be worth it but if you have personal experience with it please let me know.
I've got a Makita track saw and a cheaper grizzly one.
I've been wanting a V track saw blade for over a year, but no way in hell was I going to pay $500 for the festool blade. highway robbery.
Just found this blade and ordered it...
Orbus is USA supplier
I found out Orbus is one USA supplier of these tension fabric kiosks they sell for around $500 to $1000 wholesale, but Im pretty sure they come from China since their catalog lists them as NOT made in USA. Maybe I will go to Atlanta To Saigia Show this November and try to...
photo
This is what I am looking for, dozens of websites sell it so I am assuming it is made in China and imported. Just need to find the source. if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
I have noticed there are about a dozen companies that sell ipad tension fabric floor stands on the internet. They all have similar photos and pricing is all over the place from $800 to over $2000

I'd like to...
I want to make a small led sign similar to this one:
except mine will be say LOOK HERE and I want mine to blink on and off about 1 or 2hz/sec. a further problem is that the letters need to be around 2 to 3" tall. 4" tall max.
I know I can buy bread board and resistors and solder it all up...
thanks I ordered some spiral bits I'll test out and report back. I'm currently using Green Anchor Lube paste, looks similar in consistency to your Edge Creme cuting fluid but only $26 a gallon from mcmaster. I appreciate the on target response.
"Why are you so easily offended?"
Because you think your way is the only right way and are arrogantly dismiss other ways as incorrect.
That is why. I've been routing aluminum for years, there is nothing unsafe about it.
so if you have another way of doing it great share and spread the karma...
