if your doing low quantities UV printing may be ok but woudl be awfully slow to build it up enough to conform to ADA guidelines. We laser cut and use the raster braille dots on all of ours. A lot cleaner look.
If you follow the video above you will be fine. I have a different video but steps will be the same. I also put a clamp above the sub tank for extra safety.
you can also soak the head before doing cleanings. I fill the cap station with fluid and move the carriage back over to where the head will be soaking in cleaning solution for a while before running a cleaning.
4 heads vs 6 heads. each has different ink sets so that could be a factor. PDS equipment is very good with these printers. I would call and talk to them on the differences. We have been running the original 6042 since they first came our 6-7 years ago. Solid machine. I am not sure about...
We ran a Mimaki JFX-200 for about 4 years. We only switched to EFI as we needed more speed. The Mimaki is a great machine. We only had 1 tech visit in 4 years.
I would double check all connections and make sure all alignments are done properly. The problem with installing your own head is that you will have very little to stand on if the head is indeed defective as they will say it was user error no matter what and most likely offer zero refund on it.
I would set up your own profile if possible. Not sure if the 365 allows that like the 560/570. Every material we print on is on our profile to get the best quality. Those lines look like a heat issue to me
Yes the two tools could technically do the same as the other. A drag knife won’t kiss cut a well you just need to play with it and make sure the depth only goes through the vinyl not the backer. Kiss cut tools will cut better detail than a drag and could be set with enough pressure to go...
Well makes you wonder why they need a kick starter for a revamped model. Must not have made money on the original to revamp the design and come out with a new version.
I can vouch that this material he has is good stuff. I bought 5 rolls and have printed 4 of them. Customers are very happy and it prints/cuts very good.
Sometimes its not the place that has the best price per sign but the shipping costs that are involved. Some places are cheap for the print but will bend you over on the shipping charges.
Environment can change the colors so don't disregard that statement. I have printed stuff on our Mutoh printers and colors have slightly shifted from the day before. We monitor our temp and humidity in the print room and keep it pretty tight and have had much better luck. Your talking about 2...
I hope you are charging your client to help their customers. I would give them basic instructions and if they want to get more detailed let them do it since your not doing it for the end user.
Are the signs printed or do they have the push in raster beads? There is a difference between the two. I know Accent Signage sells them to where it can be drilled into metal but I am unsure of stainless.
