  1. Need Help Roland VG2-640 Scan Interval not working properly?

I currently dont have a versaworks installed, so I´m not shure where exactly to do that. There is a tab in the job properties with several machine settings like temperature of the heaters and so on, and anywhere there perhaps. But shure in the media manager, there you can change the setting in...
  2. Need Help Roland VG2-640 Scan Interval not working properly?

Have you set the scan interval in the software, or the printer? Could be that a software setting overwrite the printer setting.
  3. Please help with cutting!

There is a function Color Trap (as far as I remember, ma language is german) in the menu „Arrange“ or „Effects“. Cant have a look currently, here is late evening, Im in bed :-)
  4. Software Help Is anyone having Adobe Type 1 Font issues with Flexi 21?

Flexi uses system fonts. It supports special fonts like Casfonts which needs to be installed separately, but regularly any font available in the OS can be used. Perhaps, there could be a problem with nearly 20 year old Flexi 6.6 files and font ids.
  5. What is the cause of this shrinking Laminate?

Try it out. I am a supporter, and had several issues when taping laminate on blank areas or printed areas, you will check a large difference (latex 300 and 500). Most of the time it doesn´t matter.
  6. What is the cause of this shrinking Laminate?

Unfortunately, laminate do not stick very good on latex printed areas, laminate can still easily be removed after weeks.
  7. Toner base printing for outdoor

Have you tried to print with the konica on vinyl? Laserprinters regularly fix Toner with heat, could melt your vinyl and damage your printer.
  8. SIGNAL AND ERROR SUMMA DC-3

Unfortunately, in the Spare Parts Guide, I do not find any picture of that area. But you will need a pin only who operates the micro switches. Should be easy to reproduce. Regularly, Summa uses Screws to do that.
  9. SIGNAL AND ERROR SUMMA DC-3

There have to be a lever who operates that micro switches. It really looks like that this is broken. Perhaps tomorrow in office I could check what spare part do you need to repair it.
  10. FB700 loses network static IP, have to restart printer to get it talking to the RIP again

So sorry :) I feel old too … The FB is 100Mbit. Some 20 or more years ago, my company and others too around us have connected large format printers with crossover cables from separate NICs in the RIP-Server by standard, to keep the transmission of Gigabytes of print files save. Sometimes...
  11. FB700 loses network static IP, have to restart printer to get it talking to the RIP again

Macs do that since more than 20 years. The ports on modern switches do that too. The FB‘s who have a standard PC-Board internally wont do that, but wont need to if the computer does.
  12. FB700 loses network static IP, have to restart printer to get it talking to the RIP again

If the Printer is back online after rebooting, it is no issue with the IP adress. With direct connection, do you mean a crossover-cable? I would try to replace the ethernet cable. The position of the cable is a little bit difficult, could be easily hit by foot or can be easily damaged when...
  13. Need Help Summa D160R - cut drifts off over long cuts

The middle rollers are working with lower pressure than the outer rollers by default.
  14. SIGNAL AND ERROR SUMMA DC-3

If the pinch rollers really lower (not only the noise, they physically lower), but the error message appears anyway, then it could be that there is a sensor problem. We had such a problem with the mentioned machine, but with that machine any sensor gives an error, so we have assumed that the...
  15. SIGNAL AND ERROR SUMMA DC-3

Looks like sensor errors. Or the drive for the clamps. I had that similar at a customers machine, on a DC4. We have kicked that machine because it was too old and have delivered a new DC5. Summa Europe dont have much spare parts anymore, i was really lost during the first time when still...
  16. Buyer Beware: Airmark $99 PER PHONE CALL for out of warranty support.

It needs to be paid … it needs to be calculated in the machine price (which is difficult sometimes), or in case that support is needed. „Money don’t grow on threes“ is a german saying. I‘m shure you dont want to work for free, as me too. The guy who helps you, was that someone who works for the...
  17. Flexi guide lines rotate

    Congratulations :-)
  18. Buyer Beware: Airmark $99 PER PHONE CALL for out of warranty support.

I had an own one-man-company for years, but one cause of I myself have crashed my business was too much kindness in this things.
  19. Buyer Beware: Airmark $99 PER PHONE CALL for out of warranty support.

Is standard in our company in europe too (around $30 per 15 Minutes, free for up to 5 minutes). With the earnings of one machine, you cant deliver free service for years. There are no robots spending time to solve problems, there are people which wants to be paid.
  20. Cutting in Onyx versus Flexi

In Onyx, you can assign cut layer settings to cut contour names. So you can choose special settings like knife pressure, or Summa Flexcut instead of kiss cut, by choosing the matching color. If you use a workflow for which you need to plot in a file and save it somewhere special, Cutserver...
