I agree with recommending a 60600 over an 80600 if you're looking for fast output. The colors are awesome, we never miss the other additional ink colors here and no customer issues. The few times a year you actually need to print white just outsource that job.

I bet you they are looking for reverse printed LexEdge decals, printed on a Gerber Edge and backed with 3M 467 adhesive. They are scratchproof and permanent. We do a lot of them for companies that make equipment that starts with a key, like generators, etc.

Your price is your price, not everyone has the same expenses and base costs. I know we receive good pricing on our materials, but we do buy a lot. I do not see how anyone can sell a print THAT cheap though on cast materials.

Here in the midwest we are around $5000 for a 54ft trailer. Do a lot of them at that price, 3M 180c/8519. Install with 2 guys is 1 day. Corrugated trailers add another day.

I have had a few of the X/Y optical axis sensors go out over the years. Sounds like your sensor is either going out or just might have a scrap of vinyl/paper stuck in it.

We've never had bad ink for any of ours either. One is still printing here; must be a ton of miles on that machine. Last one to die had a mainboard issue that killed it but was printing fine until then.

They work fine, we used them for years. Set up a profile in your RIP that only uses CMYK and you wont have that much fading. The additional inks fade pretty quick and the yellow also fades over time quicker than the other colors.

Use Phototex (or similar) for the overlays for a clean removal.
