Did you check out the other two links? There are many versions of the Big Squeegee

  3. Vinyl Wraps Wet Method

As everyone has said, never apply air egress wet - because it traps the liquid which later pools in areas and becomes a problem. Upgrade your skills - take a wrap class. The basics of wrapping a bed would be to do long horizontal strokes, skip over valleys and then use some heat to get the vinyl...
  4. Roland vs Epson for wall murals

We have a Roland XR640 and do not have any issues with color shift. It has been a great workhorse. That said, I like the looks of the new Epson S80600 and its print gamet.
  5. CALENDARED VINYL with MATTE OVERLAM for print & cut vehicle decals

I know you don't want to hear it, but problem here is the wrong materials were used. Calendared is really meant for short-term vehicle graphics and does not conform to curves as well as cast vinyl. It is also less dimensionally stable. You've already gotten some good advice within the parameters...
  6. frosted vinyl

    This right here.
  7. Double Print for translucent digital prints

We print onto clear vinyl and apply and onto white translucent and apply over that. This gives you daytime look of a single pass of color (just as you see it) and at night the passes through both layers which richens up the color. It is not hard to align the two layers
  8. Opinion Need A New Heat Gun

We just buy Wagner Furno 300s from the local hardware store. They are less than $30 bucks, so if one gets dropped it is not that big a deal; nothing worse than spending big bucks on a deluxe heat gun and dropping it. Really like the way they are designed so that you can set them down pointed up...
  9. Delamination of ink on acrylic

I was saying printed pieces exposed to some chemicals will lift like this - the case of denatured alcohol sprayed lightly onto printed pieces from our machine (Fluid Color UV flatbed) would cause this, or flooded onto the pieces would cause all the ink to peel off. So after printing. I am not...
  10. Delamination of ink on acrylic

I was not referring to your cleaning procedure, but the chemistry that caused the adhesion failure of the printing. In other words, certain cleaners when sprayed onto the printed pieces can cause a similar effect. But it depends on the ink chemistry as to which ones will. On our printer...
  11. 40' Long x 4' Tall Wall Vinyl

Mark the wall with tape to be sure you know if it starts to walk up or down. squeegee a line down the center for a five or so feet, then go up and down from center to lay, repeat. Have a second person holding the roll of vinyl or holding one end. Tape the whole thing up in place and keep tape on...
  12. Delamination of ink on acrylic

Not familiar with Mimaki ink chemistry, but for our UV flatbed printer Denatured Alcohol would do this to the ink - in fact, we can spray/flood a printed piece and let it soak in denatured for about 10-15 mintues and it peels up completely. I would guess some overspray is hitting these or fumes...
  13. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

The edges stay down just fine. Individual letters tend to move on the wax paper and then the transfer mask will pull them up before you post form heat them. We have used Arlon SLX for several years and love. Laminated, you don't use any transfer mask and it lays beautifully. I will agree that it...
  14. Best printer for murals

We have a Roland XR 640 and it has been a workhorse. The Eco Solvent inks are not odorless but are not strong by any means. But we have never had a panel that didn't match the next panel on the Roland. That said, the Epson will hit a wider range of colors and seems to produce richer reds. We...
  15. Best Paint for MDO

We have traditionally used 1-Shot for our MDOs, but have not been able to get it in white for the past year and a half and have used Ronan's Bulletin Enamel white. We notice that oils from hands are harder to clean off of the Bulletin than the 1-Shot Lettering Enamel, and this matters when we...
  16. Lettering enamel

With supply issues being what they are, what paint is everyone using on MDO these days. We do a fair amount of flatbed UV printing onto MDOs still. Have been using Ronan Bulletin White to paint the MDOs, but 1-Shot gave us less issue with fingerprints (from hand oils). We do clean the boards...
  17. Roland RE-640

How full of printed jobs is Versa Works? We are using VersaWorks Dual Version 1.6.11 (2015-2017) and when completed jobs stack up in the queue ours will do this. We usually only keep about 20 jobs at a time in the queue.
  18. Need Help I was just curious about laminating non printed white vinyl

You are very unlikely to extend longevity to vinyl using a laminate. Best reason to laminate blank white vinyl is to match the white in printed and laminated white vinyl. Second best reason is to change or match a finish - matte. luster, gloss. Other than that I would not laminate it.
  19. Application Roller For Existing Table. Any Ideas?

We have a CWt - no heat assist on ours. We use it to laminate, mask wide format prints, and we apply vinyl to wide things, like reverse weed translucent onto acrylic our polycarbonate faces. Love it.
  20. Looking for Canon Oce Arizona feedback

the 365 is faster in all print modes - but only by a little. Same Picoliter drop sizes, but the 365 has two 318 nozzle printheads and the other has one 636 - same number of nozzles total, not sure the advantage of two printheads over one. Have never run an Arizona, we have a FluidColor and had a...
