  1. LEJ-640FT Fuse - Troubleshooting

Try Ordway Sign Supplies in Van Nuys, CA. They should be able to help.
  2. LEJ-640FT Fuse - Troubleshooting

It's the board with the fuses on it. That's where the signal gets amplified and my theory is that one of the transistors goes bad and pops the fuse. If you know how to test transistors, you might be able to fix the board rather than replacing it. Unfortunately my electronic skills end at testing...
  3. LEJ-640FT Fuse - Troubleshooting

I had a similar issue with an XC-540 printer recently which uses a similar head board. It ended up being a bad head board. If it blows no matter which head is plugged in, it could be a bad trailing cable or even a damaged/dirty slider board but my bet would be on the head board. I'm not a Roland...
  4. JFX200 Owners

It uses a honeycomb aluminum table which can be damaged easily when moving. It does come in a steel structure that is reusable though. You can pick it up with a crane or forklift with no issues. But yeah, if you tried to move it without that, good luck!
  5. which is cheaper to run? UCJV300 or HP Latex 3xx

This is latex salesman scare tactics. I'm a certified Mimaki tech. I've never had a yearly schedule to maintain a customer's printer or even preventative maintenance. It's as simple as keeping a few rubber parts clean, a few minutes a week. If you follow the maintenance schedule, you just need...
  6. Mimaki UCJV300-160 - Problem Printing Red

Onyx is a full featured RIP built from the ground up. Rasterlink is a watered down version of Wasatch with a Mimaki UI wrapped around it. So Onyx is going to be the more fully featured software and it will run other brands of machines as well for future growth.
  7. Roland VS 540 ghosting image

It could be a dirty encoder strip. The fact that it happens in the same place every time points to that although usually you will also see a stair step type pattern along with registration issues. Worth a shot to clean it with alcohol.
  8. GO BUY A HUMIDIFIER, TODAY!

I had a customer who had a blown main board on his vinyl cutter. When I got there to install a new one, I was getting shocked left and right. I told him he needed a humidifier and he brushed it off. Needed another main board a month later.
  9. Just In Some Friday fun......................................

Today I thought of a color that doesn't exist... But then I realized it was just a pigment of my imagination.

  11. Mutoh 1204 Head Gap

It definitely needs to be lower. Take it apart again and wiggle the head back and forth. It should eventually drop down into position. If not, you might have some of that spring metal in the way which tends to happen from time to time.
  12. Question Mimaki JV33 ink issue

It gives you that error when one or more of the ink cartridges are empty so it doesn't want to do a nozzle check. It sounds like your yellow ink end sensors are malfunctioning or they really are just empty. If there is ink in the cartridges and they still say empty, the sensors are probably...

  14. Question Ucjv300 purging

We have a demo unit that we only use once in a while to show customers etc. It sits for months at a time sometimes. We haven't had a single nozzle clog. The amount of ink that gets used is all up to how you setup the cleaning cycles. If you use the default settings, you won't even come close to...
  15. Need Help MYSTERY PRINT MEDIA

in general smaller holes are for store fronts and bigger holes are for vehicles.
  16. Need Help Error 205 47V printhead

Check the F13 fuse on the main board for continuity. It may have popped when the wrong cable was installed. If the fuse is good, it could be other electrical damage unfortunately. In my experience, if it's not the fuse, the head is usually fried.
  17. Head Soak

This is what I do except I use a forceep to close the lines. I prefer soaking the head in pure fluid rather than using a lint free cloth soaked in fluid like a lot of people do.
  18. Need Help Onyx to Mimaki jv33-160

You need to install the Mimaki USB driver before the computer will recognize it. It's available on their site. Edit: I responded before the pictures. Make sure it's the latest version as the driver is glitchy on older versions especially if you installed it from a CD. The download is the better...
  19. Need Help Roland SP300

Go into the menu and find an item called, "ENV Match." It will automatically re-calibrate the encoders. That tends to help with that type of issue. It's worth a shot but maybe one of the Roland guys on here has a better idea.
  20. Need Help UCJV300 white ink alignment issues.

Make sure your take up isn't pulling too hard. You can adjust the clutch to loosen it a bit. If the motor pulling the vinyl back has too much tension to pull against, it will throw off the feed. Also, make sure your vacuum is set to the highest settings so you don't get the rippling. If you are...
