Interesting. I'm not sure whats going on but the hot folder has always caused me problems. I prefer to bypass it entirely. It seems like most people get trained to use the folder but they never get taught that you can just bring a job into Rasterlink and it will process exactley the same. Make...
Post a picture of the issue. If the reds start out ok and then fade to brown, that's a damper/dropout issue. If it starts brown and never looks red, that is most likely a profile issue.
In my experience head recovery services work maybe 50% of the time. If it's worth the money to you, there is a chance it works but the older the head, the less likely it is to recover. Older heads are much more likely to have physically damaged nozzles or malfunctioning internal mechanisms.
I...
You want the black squares to be touching without any overlap or gap. Input -0.55 and then print another pattern. It will be closer and then adjust from there.
I believe all Roland blade holders are the same. You should be able to find them at RolandDGA.com. They have an online store.
As far as the offset goes, it's a specific value for each blade. It's the distance between the tip of the blade and center of the shaft. The reason it could be off is...
Clean out your blade holder and check your cutting strip to make sure it doesn't have any major divots taken out of it. You might just need a new blade holder at the end of the day.
My first thought was head strike as well. Definitely replace the cap top especially if it's old and make sure your pump isn't clogged. Then run a head soak. If that doesn't recover those nozzles, it could just be a head failure.
Nozzle check looks good but it's still possible that the magenta is dropping out during the print. That would cause reds to be more brown. If you haven't changed the dampers in over a year, that's where I would start.
I prefer helping women because they tend to work with me rather than against me. Men tend to think they know everything, believe me I am one, and question every suggestion I make!
Mimaki calls this function Half Cut. Instead of cutting all the way through, it perforates the vinyl instead so that it doesn't fall out during the cutting. Download the user manual from their site and look up the half cut feature and it will explain it to you.
It sounds like your maintenance station is not working properly. It should never take more than a couple cleanings to recover nozzles. Did you replace the station or at least the cap top, wiper and dampers after the first year? It's part of the regular maintenance.
Then your cap top or full maintenance station is not working properly. Usually people change the cap top first as it's cheap and easy. Also, double check that the head is seated nice and flat. It is very common when replacing the head that the left side is higher than the right and you need to...
