An ultra cleaning cycle should have ink squirting out of the tube fairly consistently. I would make sure the cap top is as clean as possible as well as the head surface it comes in contract with. Any ink build up that would cause the cap top to not properly seal would cause this issue. I would...
I would take the cover off the maintenance area, run a cleaning cycle, and watch the waste tubes for ink flow. If it's not flowing, either the tubes are clogged or the cap top is not sealing properly with the head.
Sometimes the ink cartridge will be empty but not flag the machine. Just take the cartridge out and make sure there is ink in there. If not, that's the issue. If there is ink, when was the last time you changed dampers and cap top?
The JV400 was a failed machine and Mimaki even gave them away if you bought one of their UV flatbeds. I have only heard bad things about them. The XC was a workhorse for a long time and people still run them but it's very old. It also requires 6 print heads which will cost $$$$ in the long run...
Not alone. All Mimaki UV inks have been hard to get recently but we did just receive a stocking order of LUS-170s so it seems like things are moving again.
That happens when the offset setting is incorrect. The offset is the distance between the center of the blade shaft and the tip of the blade. So if you change to a blade that is a different angle without changing the offset, it will do stuff like this. It also happens when the blade tip breaks...
X/Y Offset only works when you are using crop marks. If you want to align the print/cut origin offset without crop marks, that is in the cut setting tab for the job in Rasterlink Here is a YouTube video of someone doing the procedure.
It does look like something is dragging across since the little streaks on the edges are the same color that's being printed. Is the head hitting the media edge holders perhaps? Take a really close look at the head surface. Sometimes it can be hard to see a little fiber that might be hanging...
That cyan getting into the magenta is what they call cross contamination. It usually happens when the pump is partially clogged or the cap isn't emptying properly. Unfortunately, it can also happen when the membrane inside the head that separates the channels breaks. The fact that the magenta is...
That's either an electrical or encoder issue. Check your head cables for any damage, ink splatter, or corrosion and replace as necessary. You can also air dust the terminals they plug into. Then clean the encoder strip and sensor. At the end of the day it could be the head simply failing or even...
