When I ran an Epson GS6000 one time I got a cartridge that had a bad chip. If that cartridge was inserted the machine wouldn't read any of the cartridges. I would have him pull the cartridges one at a time and see if any of the others start to show up.

I know you can't print other foils over silver medal, so I am assuming that you can't put that lam over it also. I have never seen it lift itself off of the vinyl.

for install only I would just charge hourly. Shouldn't matter for pricing what the materials are if you're doing install only. your post is confusing, are they providing the graphics or you? It seems like kinda both of you are?

Funny thing is, I can install the dongle and software just fine on Windows 7 (run everything on the CD in XP simulation/compatibility mode). However, 1.56 only recognizes LPT and COMM ports.... and I can't get the USB conversion cables to recognize as I think you have to have 2.X for those to work.

yes the boards and power supplies are pricey. the heads are also pricey, but if they're out of service the heads may be shot. if the heads are good, i am interested in them.
