You, Sir, are the best. Thank you. I am going to be in Florida Thursday for a week or so- but we are flying into Orlando and exploring the panhandle and Gulf coast. Last time I did that was in the summer of 1964 when I graduated- a couple of buddies and I built a '38 Chev 4dr for the trip...

  4. Calibrating Equipment to use with VersaWorks

  6. Speed press?

I second that- it is a tool and every tool does not work for everything- but when it does it is slick. It takes many tools to operate efficiently.

  8. is there a way to remove all masks at once?

Are you using the unmask function under 'Arrange' (alt-a-m-u)? That seems to work better than right click unmask.
  9. What is it with laminate?

Boy- old post- I was surprised that I commented on it long ago. Oh well- every day is a new day for me. I use 70-80% 30 inch material on my VP540 and I am going to try sawing down my next roll. Several peeps commented on the lam sticking to the roller- the problem I have- when things stick-...
  10. Reliability Question

Second that- I clean the current VP model so infrequently that I am embarrassed.
  11. Roland SP-540V Printing Issue

Might want to make sure the head height is 'high' as well- won't help the wrinkles but you won't get head strikes on the smaller ones. Also try unrolling the banner material on the feed end- I get wrinkles if feeding directly from a fairly full (heavy) roll. I don't use extra rollers bth.
  12. Are you glad to see this year go??

Good riddance! The last 18 mo.s have been among the worst of my life. And that is before factoring in the economic crash.
  13. Earthquake Hits Baja California

We felt that also- vacationing in San Diego. That is my 2nd quake in San Diego- 25 years ago I woke up in the middle of the night with a hanging lamp swinging wildly back and forth, took me a couple minutes to put together what was happening. Strange feeling.

Hi Bill-what is this thing, a trimmer? Thanks
  18. Summa Users ... Reviews Wanted

I can personally speak of the T750 series cutters- I have a T750pro and a T750SL - do you have to add the equipment? I don't see how we can. Also experience with Royal Sov 42" hot/cold and Royal 55" cold laminator and Wasatch rip/cut software for 30" printers (Small format edition- about $800).

My daughter and I started this business from ground zero 12 years ago. She sold shoes and I restored Corvettes. I had never been in a sign shop. I went to a franchise fair and thought that the sign business looked pretty good. Sign- a-rama checked me out and decided I was a viable prospect...
