I would agree with Chris. Mutoh is a great company and I have seen them bend over backwards for customers. Even on machines I did not sell. I had a machine that was having similar issues. We replaced the s/c readers and the junction board and the problem was fixed. I am not sure if that was the...
I agree 100% with the head soaking. The other variable is the capping station. Is it sealing and pulling ink properly? Make sure the head is in the low position. You could hook a syringe up to the 2 hoses that come out of the pump. Try pulling. Do you hear air being sucked? Plan B might be to...
did you unplug the machine and discharge it when you replaced the maintenance station? you might have shorted the main board. I would try unplugging the machine and let it sit for 15 minutes. Try starting it back up and using it.
The dampers do not need to fill up all the way.Make sure the head is sitting all the way down in the carriage. Make sure the bottom of the head is level. The black is at the end of the head. It might not be getting a good seal on the cap. You can hook the syringe up to the 2 waste lines coming...
Chris is correct in the process and the card system. I have heard of ecosolvent dye-sub out there. I believe Lyson has it. Might be an easier conversion.
you would have to pull ink through the waste lines. If not much comes, you have other problems on top of that. the cap or maintenance station will need replacing. with that being said. I would soak the head. This will keep the nozzle plate wet. Unplug the machine. Put the head in the high...
If the machine is only a couple months old, I would put in for service. This is odd for a new machine. Sounds like a deflected or failing magenta channel. I would also check the cables. clean head and carriage cable ends with alcohol.
I clearly said " If they do not take care of you, I would separate the manifold and head." With this being said, I am confused about something you just said. You said you have a Mutoh 1614. The Mutoh high capacity system will not work in there without major modifications. I question whether this...
Good luck with that. If they do not take care of you, I would separate the manifold and head. Try to push ink through the black channel of the manifold. I find they get clogged. I have cleaned the channels out with a strand of wire and pushed cleaning fluid through. Make sure you wear eye...
Empty the waste tray and clean it out. Then run 3 strong cleanings. After they are done, check the tray. Is there ink? We need to know if the maintenance station is working properly.
Leave extra on the front when you load the media through the machine. Then hand roll it back at least 1 full wind. This should get everything straight. I would try printing and turn the take up by hand (leaving slack). This will determine if it is the cause or something else.
looks like damper. If it prints OK and then drops out, that would be my first option. If that is not it the head might be experiencing problems. I would also check for static.
