The machine thinks it is out of media. There is a sensor on the back of the machine on the bottom of the feed path. It need to reflect of the back of the material. My guess is that this is a grey back material and the 2 machines have different tolerances for the reflection. Try putting a piece...
my first thought is to replace dampers. I would the pull ink to the damper with a syringe. Then watch to see if the ink retracts from the damper back to the sub-tank. This would tell me there is an air leak somewhere.
check the ip address setting on the printer. If you have not powered the machine off since you initially changed it, it will be reset to original. The machine does not back up data until it is turned off. If the power goes off before that, all changes are lost.
It is easy to see if the head is "stopped up". Even though I highly doubt it. Get a syringe and attach it to the 2 hoses that lead to the waste tray. Put the head on the cap and pull softly. You do not want a violent pull, as this could damage head. If the syringe fills up, then there is ink...
If I am not mistaking, the picture is of the wrong side of the damper. Look at the other side for ink. If there is none, try pulling from the bottom of the damper with a syringe. You will need a small piece of tubing to insert in to the damper.
It is unlikely that the ink cartridge is empty. The in lines only separate at the carriage. Both lines would probably be empty. It sounds like an air leak. The damper might be bad. Try running a couple long cleanings and see if it fills the line. If it does and then goes back over time, you have...
There are 4 tracks.Top and bottom, front and back. They will get quite noisy. There is a special grease from Mutoh for it. It is a heat resistant grease. I have heard that plumbers grease works but never tried.
As stated. Drop it down the tube. That is how the old machines came. You can also wrap it up around the maint. station and plug it in the black holes where the wiper drains.
I have several customers with the Mutoh edition Flexi SE that came with there machine. I'm sure I can find 1 of them that will let it go at an low price. Send me a message if you are interested.
Clean cap real good. Make sure head is in the low position. Drain the waste tank. Put the head locking bracket back on. Lift machine and try to keep it level. Do not leave without power for more than a day or two.
Do not touch the nozzles on the bottom of the head. Lay a piece ov vinyl over your pinch rollers. Put the head in the high position. Manually move the head over the vinyl. Now you can swab the back and front. Clean the channel to the left and right. Inspect with a flashlight.
I would check the pinch rollers. I have seen them swell up and cause this exact problem on many machines. They become swollen and pinch the sides while turning. I have had customers cut off a little of the cover.
