is it only at the first cut? Then it could be the damper inside the solenoid being compressed. This is a known problem in older Summas. The official solution is to replace the cutting head. I refurbished a couple of these heads successfully with new dampers.

Hello the creasing tool is just a pin with a radius at the tip. So it's omnidirectional. Real creasing wheels require tangential control. I've only seen them on Summa flatbeds, Kongsberg, Zund and the like.

The felts are presoaked,(I did many SMK3) The reservoir on the right isn't. For the felts on the back, they even include gloves, so you don't get the oil on your hands.

Look at the trailing cables(one for power, one for data) going to the print carriage. At a certain age (scan cycles), this cable starts to fray(if you see the shielding through the insulation, replace it)... inspect it.

The lubricating felts are presoaked with oil. 3 in 1 is perfect.

Sometimes, the ink in the big cartridge and/or the intermediate tanks get demixed. Especially when your ink sat too long. I saw such issues after the COVID time. You can try to shake your inks. Sometimes we needed to replace them.

Depending on what your "customers" intend to do with it, it's probably easier to buy a sign software(under 100 bucks), that supports generic Roland cutters or even HP-GL. I'd also interface it with a serial connection, but that's my take... I always connected the early cutters this way(35 years...

Looks like your encoder strip is dirty. Check/clean it.

You can use Versaworks up to V5.51 and you don't need a USB driver for actual Windows versions. When you add the printer, you can choose USB.
