A) no spec, or brand, or model, then no idea how to direct you.
B) whomever you purchase your "signboards" from, most likely has that info for you
C) +1 to hiring a subcontractor, if anything to manage your "team". Experienced hands on-site is much more helpful than crowdsourcing a forum with...
in that guy's defense, he may have been a subcontractor for that Mendards' construction ~20yrs ago....and not only had to settle in arbitration for a lesser-amount than contracted, BUT also accept 25% of the payment in store credit.
(not made-up as a joke, that's literally how menard's builds...
my argument revolves around fullfilling requirements, retroreflectability being the main one. still using same series reflective that's been tested & approved for MUTCD, just a different series optically-clear overlam, so I don't see how this would affect anything....hardly "cheating", and...
still love contour-cut in certain applications, as opposed to full-field print....as you get to see the contrast between dead-matte wall and glossy/luster/satin graphics, kind of a cool visual effect.
that being said, I'd test a letter first.... Not knowing the wall, but the fact that you're...
yeah, $1.50 psf base price from Gco. I'm sure they have wiggle room for a client to haggle, esp if that's a regular order item, but today if I were to buy it its 920/roll.
still, there's a difference between can't, won't, and very much possible. I don't see any verbiage in MUTCD that negates...
that would be in the semi-rigid film category, either PVC, PET, polyester, in the 8mil+ range. Polycarb is even available at .030" (...40mil?), possibly thinner, that you could roll it up "easily". Secure it with velcro or dbl. sided tape. ezpz.
it was my understanding that reflectability and pms color were the requirements, for which the reflective material and printer meet.... but I don't see anywhere that another optically-clear cast overlaminate wouldn't satisfy minimum retroreflectability requirements. 8914 would have been the...
you can buy new manifolds from printer part suppliers or simply go to ebay. like $40 vs. $$$ for a new printhead.
on my Dx4 printheads, it was just two screws and a rubber seal/gasket that secures it to the printhead.
still a pita to replace, as you have to remove/reinstall the printhead as...
4-7day availability listed on website, so it was most likely a drop-ship from 3M.
p.s. $1k for overlam?!? I'd use this stuff if I absolutely needed the clear liner, but 3M 8518/8519 is nearly the exact same thing but with a paper backing....and at half the price.
i feel like ALL first-draft's should be done this way, and then an actual 1st layout provided after downpayment to cover design costs if tire-kickers take your quote down the street.
Apparently it happened back in Oct. I had heard it from a delivery driver, but just assumed he was mistaken at the time. Makes total sense now, bummer or blessing t.b.d?
I've been getting great service from my New Berlin Grimco branch, but always preferred Midwest for various reasons. I used...
well if you're in a pinch, and get stuck with a demanding client that needs it wrapped NOW, send them up to me with your $16psf quote and i'll buy you a case of beer.
...i'll even facetime ya while i'm wrapping :)
I've never considered it faster. much quicker to roll-out a sheet, than the up&down's of bringing coroplast panels into the mix.
It has its uses, however, as i really only use coro for patterns when the wall is uneven masonry or an absolute pita to tape a pattern onto.
provides a flat plane to...
aye, but for the price of tyvek from Uline... you can get two rolls of 13oz banner material and still have money leftover for beer!
i currently upgrade my outdoor installs to banner media unless I'm plotting on paper and spray mounting it to coroplast for even more rigidity when drilling...
pics of intended project and some people here might have more useful tips, or shortcuts to take.
I buy random sign stuff off of amazon too sometimes....so no shame there, but there are much better LED options available from a reputable supplier that stand behind their brands/product lines like...
