So I am super confused. Got the new printer coming monday and having techs come tuesday to install. Dealing with roland only. Get a call from my dealer in the last hour. Trying to offer me up a vg640 for same price. He wants to cancel my shipment of the new one and send a vg640. Same price...

Our vg has the inks dry enough to touch once it comes off the platen.

I never call someone out in public but when they take the 20 grand and basically say I’m done dealing with you and don’t follow through on things they say. Then I think it’s good for future people to know so they don’t end up getting bad service as well.

Midwest sign out of Minnesota and far from normal can service Roland in Wisconsin. We are using Midwest sign for now on for warranty work.

The printer has not shipped yet so I guess I will get it monday. I did state to them that i will be returning the one that is coming for full refund if it prints the same way. Also the swapping of printers doesn't come with new inks. Which to me is odd but he threw in four new inks after trying...

That was one of the first things they checked. Wish it was that easy of a fix. Should have a new printer at shop this week or early next. They are swapping with another new one.

They gave us 2500 in for trade in of the vp, but they said we could write him a check for 2000 and keep it. I thought as well as having it as a bigger cutter. Might do that and replace main board just in case the new vg doesnt work , then i can at least print until i get my refund and shop...

Well I finally have an update. They are shipping out another new printer tomorrow.

We as well had the same issue with our vp540 and traded it in for new vg. Wish I would have just put in a new main board. Thing was a workhorse.

We have tried that. Had roland out here yesterday and they are trying to figure out the cause. Something with feeding and the left and right side of material wants to raise a little and thats where its printing blurry. Hopefully should have an answer tomorrow.

Just like buying vehicles. You can always get a bad one. Its how they take care of you after you make the purchase that means the most to me.

You don't know how glad I am to hear that someone is finally coming to actually try and fix it, and not just print samples and take peck reports.

One I hope you dont have any problems, and also I hope your dealer stands behind his business and the tech is awesome!. I did just get word that Roland might be sending the head tech in the area to help fix this.

I have never really looked into them, Might have to take a gander. Right now i am playing ring around the rosie with Up and Running and Roland.

I have a feeling that will happen here i am going to get so frustrated i will lawyer up and demand a refund and never deal with roland again. Which i have loved my vp.

if I can return my Roland VG540. What other printer cutters are out there. Before this one we had the vp540 and loved it. At this point I would even be up for just getting a printer and then buying a graphtec plotter. We have a 30 graphtec now but would need something to match printer. We do...

Sad thing is I loved our vp540. But it had the connectivity problem and decided to upgrade then fix the main board. Kicking myself for that. I hope they make it right rather than have to get a lawyer and go that route. I do have the vp540 in my shop and won’t let them take it until this one is...

I don’t think they want to sell me anything after this. Or I should say is buy anything from them after this.
