  1. Quality Check

The seams are ok. The photo with the bubbles (image2)....those shouldn't be there if it's proper air release wrap vinyl. They should press out with a finger. The other wrinkles (image 3) is pretty bad to me, and indicates it might be 3m 180C, as I've had that issue with the stuff. They might...
  2. Mimaki UCJV300-160 - Problem Printing Red

Well that should not be anyone's opinion when you are dealing with CMYK. You can't expect a device with 4 colors (yeah yeah, it might be 6 with Lc and Lm or whatever configuration your printer has) to output a MIXED color right off the bat without tweaking the profiles. That's like expecting a...
  3. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

I don't advise 3mm PVC for a sign like this. Switch to 3mm ACM, and screws alone will suffice.
  4. Tiling wall graphics tips

Also run them with a colorbar. This helps with color continuity too.
  5. Question Flexi 12 Paneling issues

Print and cut one panel at a time I think. You can select/deselect the panels and send them individually.

    Pro Vehicle Outlines has them
  8. Why do you call lexel silicone?

Maybe you're not using the 'right' silicone. GE Silicone I is a great adhesive for most stuff. Don't get the regular silicone II sealant stuff. For metal signs we use Lord 810 Signlok.
  9. What do you print on when a client requests posters

Paper poster material usually, but for longer lasting water proof posters, we print on the same material for our roll up banners, a polypropylene with the grey back.
  10. All it's missing is the circus music...

must be nice sitting "up there" with no problems of your own.
  11. Discussion Not sure I'm thinking correctly.........................

This is kind of what we do. But it bites us in the butt sometimes. If we have someone scheduled for say 2:00, well they decide to come at 1:00. And then they expect us to drop everything and tend to their job. And they wanna wait. Which 99% of the time, they are asked to LEAVE the vehicle...
  12. ACM Hole Offsets

For what size sign? Artwork should be designed with mounting in mind.... i.e. keep important text away from edges, allow space for screws/bolt, etc... Also depends on what it's mounted to.
  13. Need Help! Heavy office signs keep falling.

Client isn't always right. Your job as a professional sign company is to advise them their "adamant" request is not going to work, and the etch should be on the inside for this application. Or you should have cut out the area the other sign goes so you are applying to glass only and not vinyl film.
  14. Question Just want to understand EPS files

With any problem PDF or EPS files, I will open in Photoshop and most of the time it opens correctly. Then I save as a .PSD with no background, and import to Flexi. Flexi will apply contour to PSD (provided the background is transparent.)
  15. Need Help flexisign help

That's object specific, not for all objects. Don't confuse the poor guy.
  16. Need Help flexisign help

    It's not a program settings change...simply a tool on a toolbar.
  17. Need Help flexisign help

You might have switched to wireframe mode. CTRL+ALT+W toggles it.
  18. Decent Grommet Machine and supplies to buy???

There is a new automatic grommet press out there that a new vendor showed me. One piece grommets, looks freaking awesome. Call up Rob at Reliable Sign Supply - - 972-474-9900 I think this is the same machine...
  19. Discussion Think Tank for sign makers. I wonder if there might be any interest. I am open for discussion.

The problem is that no one can answer in real time. You're trying to create multiple topic discussions and there is no way in the world anyone can follow and participate like you seem to want. Maybe you should organize several topics and start a Zoom session. Otherwise, start a new thread for...
