  1. HP570 Spectrophotometer Door and Color Calibration

I can't imagine the subtle difference between the two white points throwing this error-especially when the sensor is designed to measure the white points of different media. I did clean the lens, the door, and the white chip when installing.
  2. HP570 Spectrophotometer Door and Color Calibration

The door came from a tech, who had a unit whose casing was good but internals were bad. I wasn't aware this should be done. I have the old door, should I transfer the white material from one to the other? I'm not aware of this test either. Where could I find it.
  3. HP570 Spectrophotometer Door and Color Calibration

I recently replaced the door to our spectrophotometer (the little black plastic hook busted off) and also replaced the door actuator (the cause of the break). With all that working fine, I set out to calibrate some media, as it hadn't been done in months and our prints seem to be coming out...
  4. Static Cling and Head Strikes

This is great, thank you!! What is a reccomended starting value for IPD? Vacuum? Again, thank you both!
  5. Static Cling and Head Strikes

Our 570 is a pill to print static cling on. Currently trying to print reverse on clear and have both wavy lines from the rollers and two long streaks of head strikes. Lowering the heat seems to help with the head strikes, but then the print won't dry. I'm using a 10-12 pass profile so that the...
  6. Custom Promo LED Sign - Source?

Does anyone know of a good vendor to get custom LED interior promo signs made. Something kind of like you would see in a bar. I have attached a sample even closer to what we are looking for. Does anyone create these? 3'-4' wide. 10-15 signs total.
  7. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

The estimate will come with a note, and the proof with a building owner signature requirement. I believe they own the building, but if not, we would have that conversation before installation.
  8. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

Gino, That's a good point. I was hoping to attached it to the "ceiling" there, but likely it won't support it. I haven't been on-site to review yet. I'll have to make a trip down there.
  9. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

Thank you. We use Gyford here in the US. Typically for interior stand-offs, but maybe some of their tension rod can be repurposed for this. It's not exactly what we were going for, but at least we can quote is and produce it. Thanks again.
  10. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

No easy, off-the-shelf suggestions? I'm killing myself trying find something. I thought this would be easy.
  11. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

We are creating a fairly simple, low cost overhead sign. I'm looking for some basic hardware to mount it to an overhang (see image). I checked Sign Bracket Store and poked around Outwater, but didn't find anything that would work well. Also looked at Grimco, but they didn't have much. Any...
  12. Small Text and Summa Cutter

It looks like they start late and finish late. If everything was moved "back" (against the direction of the cut) about .1mm-.25mm it seems we would be happier.
  13. Small Text and Summa Cutter

No, it's definitely setup as tangential. It is cutting better, and without the tearing. However, after a piece was left over the weekend and had shrunk up a bit, I noticed the cuts do not align well at the corners. This is creating weeding issues, as one would imagine. What setting would need to...
  14. Small Text and Summa Cutter

Thank you, all, for the advise. Vinyl is cast (3M 220 Series). Blade may be dull, we have more on the way. The file looks fine, and was just outlined text. I will look into adjusting offset, though admittedly I will have look up exactly what that does... Vinyl is RTA, so I cannot weed on the...
  15. Small Text and Summa Cutter

Hello, Trying to cut some small (3/8" lc, 1/2" UC) lettering on our Summa S2 T160. The letters aren't cutting cleanly, and weeding isn't making anyone around here happy. See attached image. It looks like it's ripping around curves. Letters aren't coming out cleanly, and I swear our old Graphtec...
  16. Summa S2 T160 Knife Stuck

I tried fishing a piece of wire down there with tape. That led to frustration. After I resolved to no longer try to save the blade, I put a piece of styrene between the blade and the cutting strip and pressed the holder in with some force. After a few tries I got it to stick enough to get it...
  17. Summa S2 T160 Knife Stuck

Our Summa started cutting poorly so I went to unscrew and lift the knife. The holder came out, but the blade is stuck in the cutting head. I cannot get it out from below, and can no longer push the holder in to get it out through the top. Trying to get the silver part of the blade holder out...
  18. Blind Sign/Plaque Mounting Hardware

The quick snap from MBS is perfect. Thank you!! And I should have clarified, I don't mind "disturbing" the mounting surface, but would want to be able to change it without say, ripping off a ton of VHB and silicone. This system allows me to ship the client a replacement that they can pop...
  19. Blind Sign/Plaque Mounting Hardware

Hello, I'm hoping to get a recommendation on a product that would allow us to blind mount about a dozen 6" x 6" ACM signs for tenant identification on outdoor units. We would want to be able to switch them out without damaging the exterior of the building. I think they're a little to small for a...
  20. Start Welding?

Hello, We typically outsource our metal work to a fab shop. They closed their doors a while back, and we've been unsuccessful in finding a place to send our metal work. I've contemplated handling some of the easier metal work in-house. I've welded in the past, as have some of our employees...
