Where I used to work we had a poster printing press using inks. After printing, there was a dust you could sprinkle on the ink, that puffed it up a bit. Might check with an older print shop.
  6. versaworks printing parts of the cut line?

When I bring a print/cut file into Versaworks as a pdf file, it will sometimes print little segments of the magenta cut line as part of the graphic. The cut line is there only as a cut line, it shows the marching ants just like it should. Not sure why this happens. I like the way pdf's print...

  11. Waterproof notice board?

I'm quoting a job looking for an exterior notice board with locking cover. It could have a chalkboard, dry erase board, or cork board inside. They want to be able to change it themselves, but don't want the letter track system. I could be lit or they can shine a light on it. (not backlit)...
  12. Installing banner

...and be careful with the black rubber bungees. I used some a couple years ago on a billboard banner that didn't last but about two months, before cracking and breaking. They said made in China on them. I found some USA made bungees and they have held up fine since.
  13. Wet Installation Help

+1 .... just a drop or two of soap in homemade fluid. Some add some alcohol to speed up the dry time. When I started out, I made some of my own fluid. I have seen vinyl fail due to what appeared to be bad adhesion on a job or two, so to eliminate the problem I just buy app. fluid. It's made for...

I've been using this one since 2002. It's not in the greatest shape, but it has a couple more years in it. Just flip it around and over once in a while. For me, cutting pvc on it does the most damage. Where I used to work, in the 90's we had a couple of these 4' x 8' Mega Mats They have the...
