Is anybody out here direct printing on carpet? If so, can you shed some insight to me? (what carpet do you recommend, what printer has worked for you, what were the results?)
Have you checked the actual temps with an IR temp sensor? My heat/cure elements went out and didn't code in the machine. We replaced them and have been good since then.
We have two HP9000s (Colorpainter 64) and really like them. I ran a M-64 for a day at a local retailer in Charlotte and enjoyed the machine and the print quality. It's like my 9000 on steroids.
We solvent print, then laminate with 3M 8518 or Oracal 290gf here. You must let it outgas 24 - 48 hours. We have had outgassing when laminating too quickly.
I have had this happen on my L26500. I have found 2 issues. The non locked hub on the media feed is not holding the media tight and the tension assembly on the media feed is not having a good moment. I have been able to clean the hub and the tube to reduce that issue. On the tension...
At this time there is no ij180c, ij180cv2, or ij180cv3-20 available. Ask your 3M representative for an answer. I've been trying to get some for years. 3M looks at me like I have 3 heads.
If the heads aren't firing, but getting ink, power down the machine and check the cables at the head. If they aren't getting ink, check the lines. I used to keep O-rings for all the connectors. They are bad about air leaking if jostled.
