  1. 'Green' Signage Options

    Thanks...any other thoughts on this?
  2. 'Green' Signage Options

How much (if any) customer demand/ interest are you seeing for 'green' signage? I see that some of the suppliers are now putting digital print 'green' media options into their catalogs, and was wondering how much demand there is for that type of product. Thank you for your input.
  3. Uninstall Onyx - Unregister?

Onyx does not use activation like Adobe CS. You should be able to reinstall and go, provided you have the dongle.
  4. Setup Profiles for Mutoh + Banding issues

ProductionHouse 7 is fully capable of profiling each of the printers that you mention. You will also need a supported spectrophotometer to read the test swatches (X-rite or Barbieri or similar). Here is a profiling tutorial built for ProductionHouse 7...

  6. Falcon Outdoor I - Taste the rainbow

    +1 on encoder strip.
  7. Spyder3 ICC profile and Flexi

To my knowledge, the Spyder is not a supported denso-spectrophotometer in Flexi.
  8. Mutoh falcon outdoor jr. need help

FlexiPro will drive the Mutoh Falcon Outdoor. Adobe apps are not RIPs and will not directly drive it.
  9. Mutoh Jr. issues

If the internal, firmware-based nozzle check pattern is not firing K ink, that you can rest assured that any files from the RIP are not. That is the point of the nozzle test print, to isolate the printer from other factors.
  10. FlexiSIGN-Pro 7.6 & Windows 7 (64-bit) via Virtual XP Mode

I know that Flexi 7.6 will not run under Windows 7's normal mode, but has anyone successfully installed and run Flexi 7 under Windows 7's virtual XP mode? I have little doubt that it will install, but the dongle driver is what I am concerned about. Thanks for any first-hand accounts of your...
  11. Need Windows Drivers for RJ-6100

To the best of my knowledge, there are no Windows/ Mac O/S drivers for the Rockhopper/ Falcon Outdoor series printers. These printers must be driven via a RIP, which uses it's own driver.
  12. Versa art RS-640 - First real printing problem

34 degrees Celsius (93 degrees F) is too hot of an environment for a Roland solvent printer to operate in. Anything above 85 deg. f (30C) needs to be avoided at all costs. You will quickly damage the print heads and print quality goes down as well as you've seen. You would do well to get the...
  13. How to back up profiles for Onyx 7.2 rip

You would need to re-install the Onyx applications from the original distribution DVD media. If you don't have the disks, you can download from Onyx' website.
  14. Falcon Outdoor II...Cyan prints Black?

Replace the dampers (2) for that head. You are getting cross contamination that results from valve failure in the damper. You should also replace the cap-tops at the same time.
  15. pdf file coming in but some colours are wrong

I see nothing in your original post to indicate that this was a print & cut job, unless I'm missing something...
  16. pdf file coming in but some colours are wrong

--------- I have no idea how that works. Bring the job into PM via File > Add Job (be sure to highlight the desired output device in the left pane first). how do I see it and set it up for print? Double click on the job to open the Job Settings window, which is very similar to Cut Plot dialog...
  17. Profiling...Been At this for a year, no luck

You are semi-correct with this statement. Versaworks lacks the capacity to build the ICC profile. It does allow for primary channel ink limiting, linearization (calibration), and total ink limiting. It also allows for ICC profiles that have been built using 3rd-party software apps (ProfileMaker...
  18. Profile settings to us with 20# plotter paper?

Assuming that this 20# paper is intended to use with traditional aqueous ink (the type of ink in your HP plotter), you are not going to achieve acceptable line quality with the solvent inks that Roland markets. As you are experiencing, the EcoSol ink will wick and bleed, making it incompatible...
  19. Blurry prints

Can't see much on your images. Blurry printing can be caused by several things, including printheads that are not calibrated/ aligned, dirty/ scratched encoder strip or sensor, or nozzle problems (deflections).
  20. What best RGB setting for profilemaker

I'm just curious. When you say RGB profiles, are you profiling a large-format printer driven from a RIP, or a small-format driver-based device like a desktop inkjet or laser printer?
