  1. Graphtec FC8600

I just bought a graphtec fc8600. I have a lot to learn. I went from using my versacamm to print and cut, now I'm trying to use my versacamm to print, then laminate and go into the graphtec to not slow printing time up. I'd recommend it because I know what it COULD do. I just need to learn how to...
  2. New printer band wagon

Don't so it! No More Rolands for me. Look at the HP360 latex printer. Seriously. After doing my research I will never by a solvent printer again. I have that right now I have to wait at leave 24 hours to laminate. It's a big headache. I hear those are about 12-14k, leaves you the difference to...
  3. Huge THANK YOU to Bret & James at DENCO SALES

So here I was dealing with not being able to print while the damn versacamm was cutting. I was delayed on jobs so much I'd have to come in on the weekends to get work done. I started teh hunt for a separate print solution. I figure "I already have a Roland, might as well stick there." I had my...
  4. HUGE Thanks to CS

I have to say I've had a great experience today working with Bobby at CS. He took the time to explain everything I was asking and took the time to look up my serial number to make sure what we were talking about matched what I needed. I would highly recommend purchasing from them. Thank Guys! Alex
  5. Huge Thanks to Instant One Media!

I have to give a huge thank you to these guys! I ordered a test roll from them back in maybe August. I never had a chance to use it. I moved into my new location and found the box so I printed a sample on their bubble free gloss vinyl. I have to say I love this vinyl. I usually print on Avery...
  6. Liquid Laminate for Vehicle Wraps

I've never gotten a job like that, but a buddy of mine told me early in my career of signage that getting a contracted job for like coca cola is a pain because they always send you the material transfer taped and you have to install it that way. I think it would be a total headache to install. I...
  7. Roland versacamm parts

I would hit up a forum sponsor first, if not, I got all that from NuSignSupply.com this last week when they came to do some work on my machine.
  8. Just stops printing and states Not Connected in VersaWorks

I use Nusign Supply in Industry. Pretty much the only techs I trust. Did you check your IP address after to change to the cross over able? If you are not getting a DHCP address then you are going to default to a 169.x.x.x number. You need to set a static IP on both Machine and the printer that...
  9. HELP please ROLAND VERSACAMM 540v lost ink

I'm with the last comment of the cap top. When is the last time you changed it? I have a tech here servicing my machine and my cap top was destroyed. He said he was super surprised I didn't lose any nozzles from how back of condition it was. If that's not the problem, are you getting any errors...
  10. Buying a GCC expert 24, Will I be banned?

I have a GCC Expert Pro. It's okay. I only need a 24 because I can cut anything bigger on my versacamm. The think I don't like on the GCC is that you will only get about 22.85 of media. The guy that I bought it from said... "you can use the whole 24 width because it cuts to the outside of the...

  12. Enduralam 54" cold laminator

Thanks for the information. Kala isn't within my budget right now. I'm going to save for that one. I wanted the Maestro that's about 12k. I told him if he wants me to buy it now, I only have about 1500 for a laminator (Separate account I use to save for machines and other equipment. I just let...
  13. Enduralam 54" cold laminator

Hi everyone, I've been looking for a laminator for a while. I contacted someone I know that I use to lease the laminator through. He is willing to sell me the laminator. It's been in storage since after we returned it to him about two years ago. what should I look for? Flat spots on the...

  17. How to be a Successful Sign Shop

Bringing an old post back to life here. I am no longer in Phoenix. When I was there I had a partner who made it seem he was the know-all of sign business. The guy knew a lot, but it was all half-assed knowledge. The work he did never came out the way I expected. He said "standard for sign...
  18. What do you use to manage and track everyday jobs?

I was looking at sign trackers 1-3 package. Does anyone have experience with this? I was looking at signvox, but I can't justify paying for 10 users when we don't have that many that would be logging into it. I would love to try it and see if we can justify it. This Vujade software looks very...
  19. Printing on "pop-up" or no curl material.

I would MAX out the heater and add a fan to the front of the machine. We are actually going to get an IR heater for the front of the printer to see if that helps out with some out gas time.
