1. First job in the sign industry was running a Gerber 4B. no computer, hand drawn and project/trace logos from the Yellow pages.
2. My friend is a talented, old school sign painter w/ no computer skills. Its heartbreaking that he can’t get work so I grossly underpay him from my pay to hang with me when I can.
3. I have been officially unemployed for 1 year yesterday. I go in as needed and have been able to pay the bills so far.
4. There are 12 sign shops within 15 miles of me that I know of.
5. I had twin black cats cuz they went with my zebra rug. Cloe passed on 2 years ago and Zoe is 17 years old. She is God’s love personified.
6. I broke my leg clean in half by simply stamping my foot to get Zoe in the house. Its held together w/ metal & my doctor still doesn't believe how it happened.
7. I’m from MA, moved to FL in 88 to be near my Brother & 7 yr old nephew.
8. My Brother was murdered in MA in front of my parents by his Ex wife~ 2 weeks after I got to FL.
He had remarried only 13 days prior.
9. Watching the Super Bowl reminded me ~ I have held the Super Bowl trophy, met Dan Rooney and met Clarence Clemons.
10. I have read the New York Times every Sunday since I could read. 11. My dream house is a penthouse in NYC.
12. I love all things ART.
13. I have been to Studio 54.
14. I cried when Sinatra came on stage. My license plate says “S NATRA” I made the “I” & went over it all with 1 Shot

1. youngest of 4 (2 boys -2 girls)
2. was struck by lightning on golf course in 1999 (eat your heart out ddarlak)
3. drink coors light (not often, but when I do....)

5. married HS sweetheart 30 years ago.
6. Never lost a pool tournament and have a few trophy's, but haven't picked up a stick for 20 years
7. Won first place in the last golf tournament I played....haven't played since (3 years since car accident)
8. Feel everyone, no matter how (un)educated, has something to teach me.
9. Watched my dad slap the beegeezers out of a cop (in the station), after dragging him over the counter. I was 12 at the time.
10. Dropped out of school when I was 17 (catholic school). Went back to school & repeated my senior year, then went on to Penn State, after which went on to electrical school.
11. Served on city council 4 years
12. Lost election for mayor by 23 votes
13. Volunteer firefighter in my younger days.
14. Deathly afraid of heights, yet go up in my bucket truck weekly.
15. Have 3 children
16. Had panic attack (see fear of heights) when my kids went too close to the observation rail at Niagra Falls.
17. Procrastinator....but plan to work on improving that tomorrow.
18. Hate hotels
19. Feel a woman's body should be added to the "wonders of the world"
20. Burn notice, Law & Order, & "2 and a half men" are my favirite shows.
21. Donuts are my downfall
22. Granddaughters are the love of my life.
23. I hate procrastinators (yeah yeah....I know about #17)

25. Took Disco dance lessons when I was in my early 20's (wife made me)

Not tagged, but think it's so nice to learn about the people here.
1. I have three older brothers and two younger sisters. We are all very close emotionally and geographically.
2. All I ever wanted to be was a mommy, excepted when I was 6 or 7, when I wanted to be a nun. When I realized nuns couldn’t have babies, and long before I knew what else they couldn’t do, I gave up that crazy notion.
3. I went to Catholic school till junior high. Public school terrified me the first year.
4. Peer pressure has always had the opposite effect on me. Which is partly why I didn’t drink or smoke. The more pressure, the more I stood my ground.
5. I don’t eat, drink or take that anything this is an acquired taste. I don’t make myself like things.
6. Cheese makes me happy, so I eat it every day.
7. I’ve never been drunk. I wait for everyone else to get drunk so I can do whatever I want, knowing no one will remember the next day.
8. The most beautiful thing I ever witnesses was my parents marriage.
9. I thought I understood death, till my mom died. Now I feel like a little girl who let go of here mom’s hand in huge department store and now can’t find her.
10. I have faith, I believe in God but I don’t like any religion/person that is so arrogant to think they have all the answers. I’m okay knowing that God and heaven are beyond my comprehension.
11. I think the most important thing in the world is kindness. We really could have done with just one, two word, commandment instead of ten, if the first commandment was…

12. I don’t like wastefulness…. in money, time or resources.
13. If I were a multi-millionaire I wouldn’t own a Rolex.

15. My husband and children make me deliriously happy.
16. Unless there’s a good reason to be unhappy…. I’m happy. I avoid people who are often moody or grumpy… they’ll suck the happy right out of you.
17. My greatest accomplishment… raising three kind, respectful sons.
18. I don’t like politicians but do think, had Collin Powell decided to run and became president back in 1996, the world would be a much different place today. No president since has had the character, strength, intelligence or patriotism to be worthy of the position.
19. Fun is good, funny is better… fun and funny well it just doesn’t get any better than that.
20. I don’t have to be good at something to have a good time.
21. I love cool tools, things that work the way they’re suppose to and anything APPLE.
22. I really like sleeping, but I’m not very good at it. However, my best ideas and most creative thoughts come to me when I’m sleeping.
23. I worry way too much about people and their circumstances. I lose sleep worrying about people I don’t even know.
24. I don’t like talking on the phone, except with one of my sisters because I can say “I’m done talking or I have to pee, so I’m hanging up now.”
25. If someone in my family passes gas, I say “God bless you,” because it’s like a sneeze in that it’s a bodily noise that you can’t control. I’d say it to strangers too if I thought it would make them feel less embarrassed.
26. I call everyone in my house “your highness” because they’re so much taller than me.
27. I really love my dog (a miniature schnauzer), she fun, funny and so much shorter than me.

3) met my wife when I was 14.... Oh yer!
4) My wife and I had 4 beautiful Children, Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy,
5) Have been in the military.
6) Became a grandfather when I was 37 (see #3)
7) the older I get the more I dislike heights.
8) I don't drink alcohol anymore (about 20 years now)
9) I don't smoke
10) I have nearly died 3 very different time.
11) I have lived in germany for 3 years due to the military
12) I now live in Canada
13) My Eldest daughter passed away last May due to brain tumour. (its still hell)
14) Hardest thing ever done was telling my 5 year old (at the time) grandson his mommy died.
15) Adopted grandson see #13
16) I find it no longer an easy question to answer when people say so how many children do you have. is it 4 - 3 or 5? so we end up telling the entire story to make things clear. (see #15 #13 and 4).
17) Cant drink Milk.
18) have been told I make a great loyal friend but the worst enemy you could ever encounter.
19) I dont have any contact with my siblings or parents.
20) I am over weight!
21) I dont have mortgage!
22) I have owned a hotel.
23) My house is fairly large.
24) I seem to acquire pet projects that I try to help, like smaller business's who are struggling and I end up helping them with signs, advertising, marketing etc, then I end up getting ripped off some how! but I can sleep knowing i have tried to help.
25) I love gadgets. any gadgets, if its shiny and does something cool I must own it.
26) I have a sense of humour, I really enjoy laughing.
27) I am a people watcher, I notice small things most people don't notice.

2. I can't sing at all but I can tell when my guitar is even slightly out of tune
3. I watch House and Scrubs over and over
4. Bodybuilding is the only thing that got me through college (i have bi-polar)
5. I have a Graphic Design and an Engineering Degree, i am also a CWI/Inspector
6. I have never smoked, done drugs, or had any type of painkillers
7. I have never broken a bone and i drink 2 gallons of milk every week
8. I have never been in trouble with the law or been to jail
9. My only regret in life is that i have never done anything stupid
10. My highschool sweetheart and i promised to marry eachother if we didn't find anyone by the time i turned 28 and she turned 27 . . . we got married 6 months ago. I told her i was going to marry her someday after dating for 2 weeks . . . she didn't believe me.
11. I never say i love you to my mother but i do. She would do anything for me.
12. I am an Electronic Junkie. If it's newer, smaller, faster or lighter i have to have it.
13. I started taking Martial Arts in grade school and quit in college with a 2nd degree black belt. I started taking MMA but left after 8 months because of an injury.

1. I was born and raised in Gregory, South Dakota (west river gal)
2. I have identical twins that will be 3 in July and they think they know everything already. (they are also super tall 41 inches already)
3. I grew up in a body shop
4. I married a man that owns a body shop
5. I love to letter semi's.. my favorite thing about my job
6. Both my mom and sister have Mini Coopers (I hate them) and have to hear about how great they are
7. My sister and I look so much alike (we are 7 years apart) and people can't keep us straight
8. I brush my teeth at least 4 times a day (my college friend was a dental hygenists) makes you paranoid
9. I love mt. dew -- it's like my morning coffee
10. Went to Alaska fishing for my honeymoon (my decisions and plans) of course hubby was thrilled
11. I go to bed late - love to watch the DEA or Manhunters TIVO!
12. I love to go snowmobiling and wish I could live in the mountains so i could do it more
13. Had the worst pregnancy with the twins (sick for 4 months) fine for 2 months (then on bedrest the rest of the pregnancy with a pump to stop contractions)
14. I eat alot at night, but still manage to weight 120lbs. High metabolism?

12) I drink fluids during all my waking hours
13) Seriously believe the world has gone "mad" - old time values and morals have gone.
14) Realise that Governments lie and will "move the goalposts" so what's the point.
15) Don't believe in Global warming - temps are cyclical. (How can you move (ship) billions of tons of iron ore from Australia to the US and not expect a shift in balance - kinda like asking 10 people to move to one side of a boat.

1. I was born to a poor tobacco farmer ,we didn't have indoor plumbing till I was eight.We lost every thing we owned to a hurricaine in the early fifties in Baton Rouge,La,..there was no fema to help.
2. I spent what spare time I had between chores on the family farm drawing on notebook paper.
3. I went to work in my first sign shop at fourteen one summer for free to stay out of trouble while my dad worked at the local cigarette factory.
4. I got to go to the Governors School of North Carolina for art in my junior year of high school(free scholastic scholarship,.top 200 students in the state each year).
5. I went to ECU as an art student when computers had their own building with a guard at the door,took honors art subjects.
6. I dropped out of art school to go to work in an outdoor advertising studio as an apprentice sign painter.
7. I went to work for myself after three years as an outdoor bulletin painter in 1978.
8. I spent twenty five years working all over the southeast as a contractor painting billboards on location for 3M.
9. I also spent between 16 and 25 weeks a year painting race track signage for "Winston Cup Series"(NASCAR) over a twenty year span.
10 Not knowing it at the time I answered countless questions from 3M researchers about paint mixtures and how they could be used on a four color computer airbrush research project(early research on digital printer prototypes).We also tested alot of the films you folks use when they were still in the experimental stage.
11. I was one of the first group of painters to paint a "wrap" on NASCAR trailers before digital printing took over about ten years later,clients included Kodak,Phillips 66,Bojangles,Hienz ketchup,Interstate Batteries and several others.
12. I bought my first design station in 1990 it was a 12mhz,286 with 2mb of ram and a 20 mb hard drive,with a digitizing tablet...Coreldraw came on three 5 1/4 floppies and was all of 4 mb total. Signlab was on one disk and looked like a 4b dos emulation.Both were versions 1.1
13 I went thru a nasty divorce in 1993 and went to work as a bouncer at age 40 in a road house to have money to eat,my ex took all my earnings in child support after she raped me financially ruining my credit.
14. I ended up getting custody of my three sons and spent the next five years being a single dad and fighting with social services over child support payments to my ex when I had custody,..you figure it out I couldn't.Seems she worked for social services in her county and they were misinformed as to who had actual custody.
15. I'm short tempered to the point and do not like to argue,...I also tend to be confrontational without realizing it until after the fact, the docs say its part of delayed stress syndrome from spending all those years painting at heights and never actually dealing with the fear of falling.
16. I was recomended for "Who's Who" for sign painting murals and gold leaf in 1995.
17. had my work published in the sign magazines on more than one instance and even won a national award without ever getting any credit or anyone spelling my name right.It never pays to be a contractor to another shop who is seeking fame and notoriety.

I'm always on here reading but have not posted much.
1. I attended my first race at only 2 weeks old.
2. I am oldest of three boys
3. I started playing hockey at age 5
4. I started out working in my dad's sign shop when I was a little kid
5. When I was little I worked in the yard stripping out old signs.
6. When I got older I went out on installs.
7. I'm not a fan of heights.
8. My grandma was an amazing artist.
9. Me not so much.
10. My daughters showing she has some of my grandma's talents.
