I'm using that argument and I'm not right or left...
It seems when someone is far one side or the other it's all the same... Intelligence gets lower the further you are to the edge.
Let's get back to the actual debate rather than saying who is intelligent or not. The fact is, I'm not a bot.

Hey, so far, you've agreed with everything I say. But you keep posting information in a cut and paste format. In this day and age with technology, I don't take anything for granted. You haven't been great at posting and then suddenly you're posting in this thread. So it seems odd. Yea, I know this is a hot button topic, but it seems odd. Carry on, though. I'm not offended by what you have to say. Free speech.

personally I think you're right. That's why I asked the question: "would you rather pay taxes on what you earn or what you spend". Seems like a no brainer for me. You posted what i believe trump is trying to do. but I don't know where you got your information from. Can you post that?
I made that proposal up myself (critique it, add or subtract from it yourself, please). It is basically my dream situation. I seriously think that if income tax was eliminated we would see true innovation and success that we have never seen before. I talk to people from all walks of life and some of the most intelligent people don't get to where they should be because of the thumb that going up in a tax bracket does. Just recently there was a guy I knew who backed out of a position in local government because the small pay that he was getting from it was messing with his veteran retirement benefits. He was perfect for the job and was doing it for low pay to boot. Income tax messes up society in ways that aren't even thought of.
I also think Trump is gearing up to get rid of income tax. He has publicly said so himself.
I like to format my text in a word processor then copy and paste it to here when I am posting something really long. I'm all about time efficiency because that is our most valuable asset. The more time I can save, the more things I can do. I started posting in this thread too because it is also about tariffs. As sign businesses we talk to a lot of different business owners so I think it is highly valuable for us to know a thing or two about the economics of our wonderful USA. A forest view instead of the tree view.

Just an observation. You don't contribute much to sign discussions but want to spew political stuff. I think there should be a rule that if you come here just to talk political, you get removed.
Did you use AI / Chatgpt at all? The reason I agreed with the bot comment is after reading your first few posts... I thought the same thing, it felt like an AI with the way things were summarized and laid out. Thats why I ran it through a AI checker... It said it couldn't find anything AI related, so I never mentioned it. It still looks AI to me... and to be honest, most bots are trained to carry on conversations and act exactly like you're acting now...
I think you can agree that your account being created in 2021, having zero posts about signs... then all of a sudden you start posting political stuff... is kind of suspicious. Theres Thousands of bots on forums and twitter parroting key "Hot topics" for both the left and the right... With the sole purpose of sowing discord between the left and right. I've been at 50/50 on whether you are one or not... But I havent personally seen bots, so who knows.
But it really doesn't matter, You can be a bot...you can copy paste from ChatGPT Or whatever - So long as your information is accurate. Take it as a compliment, the way your posts are formatted and written up have near zero errors, theyre neatly written, IF You werent posting so much other stuff in this thread and it was mainly the articles / searches and your proposal, I'd bet my last $100 you're a bot. But Now I'm more 70/30 against you being one.

But he also wants all goods to be made in the US which in theory should decrease imports, which also decreases tariffs. So how do they fund the government? What I am missing????

Haha, well I guess I'm a robot personality. I am a very logical person, but I'm also pretty artistic. So I'm both left and right brained I guess. But I can assure you that I'm a real human, with my own thoughts. That is pretty amazing that I haven't made any typos, yet, but is sure does help to have spellcheck and grammar check on. I actually am taking it as a compliment (the writing part, not the bot part). I'm writing a book, so that has probably helped me to form my thoughts and articulate what I believe to be true. I think what you are thinking that looks AI is the formatting, how I was able to put data into tables, and type formatting like bold, italic, bullets, etc. I do some computer programming in javascript, php, python, and html so it just comes second nature to me. Also, I said earlier I'm big into communication and articulation. The whole point of signs is to communicate something clearly and quickly.

There is always going to be a market for goods from other countries. Those goods from other countries will be tariffed. Even way back in the day we were importing things from other countries, our tariffs completely funded government, in fact our government was overfunded with tariffs, it was a huge boon. But then thanks to this guy Cordell Hull we are now all slaves to income taxes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordell_Hull (to be fair, it wasn't just him, there were other corrupt (allegedly, make your own deductions) sellouts that brought in the income tax and got rid of the tariffs in order to have "open global markets"). Their main reasons for income tax was to help the poor and many years later we can see how much it helped the poor can't we (I'm being sarcastic). Southern States were for the income tax because they thought that if we lowered our tariffs other countries would lower tariffs against their agricultural exports (that only lasted for a little while, we kept our tariffs at zero but all the other countries eventually raised theirs back up). Another big reason why they pushed income taxes is because they said that USA companies were forming monopolies in their industries, now here is the kicker, it wasn't monopolies domestically, it was monopolistic against other countries businesses... (which that doesn't make sense at all, why would they ever even want to do that? HINT - because foreign powers would pay these guys off heftily (allegedly again, make your own deductions). Income tax is completely not logical at all if you want your country (people) to succeed.

I know. but in truth, its a sign forum not a political one. yea tariffs affect us. but we've all gone way off topic on this thread and trying to get back to some sort of normalcy while still working with people on the forum is what I would like to do. I think there are a couple of bridges that have been burned here. I'm trying to abstain from my political views here. Part of me can't help it because this political playing field is as spicy as who shot jr and luke and laura running off together.
and, tbh, I was a teacher who witnessed the indoctrination piece. and blew the whistle on my school. so I know what it feels like to get stuck in a corner until retirement because you don't "play well" with the rest of the group.
I totally get it. The left side is very clever how they slip in their views and somehow staying okay to say what ever they want but we who are on the side of just plain common sense are lambasted to death. I don't know if you believe in the Bible (I do) but it says in there that we (who believe that there is one truth and believe in that one truth) aren't a part of this world, which explains a lot. But yes, I know exactly what you are saying and I thank you. The truth will always prevail some way or another. Literally everything was created in truth.
