  • Jill is that you in your new avatar??? That photo look so much Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring portrait. I love it!
Great seeing you again Jill! Sorry to hear you missed your exit! I can't say I blame you for skipping out on the Bates Motel. Until next time...
Nope this silly thing called work gets in my way of doing things like that! I did however make the Steeler banners you will see in town above the roads... You going out?
    Hi Jill,
I've been browsing your website. BEAUTIFUL WORK!! I'm interested in your knowledge of HDU. My sandblasted signs are solid cedar so they're really heavy and expensive as well as time consuming. Where is a good place for me to start my education in HDU? I'd like to sandblast it but I'd also like very much to use it for cut out letters. I saw on here one time a while back, someone had built a really handy looking electric cutter. Do you know where that would be?
    Thanks so much!

I bid the job and should get the job. They had there meeting the other night. I'll give them a call to see what the out come was and keep you posted.
yeah, i got the email a little bit ago..... and orange halloween socks don't have anything on my green shamrock ones that i wore yesterday:thumb:.... I got somewhat busy up at the shop then Tony came and he was on my laptop trying to fill some forms out for unemployment since he is laid off. They are pending his check cause he's only been off for a week and hasn't looked for another job already...anywho, thank you so much for the suggestions. I will send you another email here cause i'm working on it again. Thanks again and will talk to you soon.
i was just going through some of my grandmother's belongings and found all the greeting cards she received when my mom was born and i thought of you right away....if i recall correctly, you have mentioned that you like vintage greeting cards.....and you're right....they really are gems.

Thanks for your comments on my work, I really appreatiate it.

I look forward to all your posts and critiques as you have a great eye and talent.
went to Seven Springs over the weekend, had snow there... Snow here right now...Aghhh I hat winter.... Brrr to cold!
Hey Jill (I just found this facet of the website!)- I did get your message and emailed a big thank you back...in case you did not get my email!

The titebond worked great. I used epoxy on a smaller sign and may go that route for something more permanent. Epoxy is a mess and I hate breathing it.

thanks again for all your input over the past year. you are a real asset to your trade. I noticed you are also involved on the letterhead board. I signed up over there...been lurking a little bit and seems like those folks are right up my alley (although, admittedly I am light years behind in skill level). For some reason, I am not able to sign in. I am going to try to tackle that again this afternoon.

    Take care,

Hey Jill - I can't believe I haven't said this until now - but it was great meeting you! I wish you'd have stuck around for day 2 - I was really hoping to pick up some hand lettering pointers. After watching you do it, and after trying my hand with the pinstriping brush on day 2, I really feel like this is something I'd like to learn! Maybe next time?
I believe I still owe you a fish sandwich!!
Next meet I'm buying you dinner and by dinner I mean a fish sandwich!!! It was great meeting you
and thank you for the crazzzzy pink 'sign chick glasses' lol they're great! It was so great to finally meet you, how talented you are Jill!!
Wish we had more time to chat...and for me to have had a chance to see if some of that talent would have rubbed off on me lol
    Hi Jill,

Like I just mentioned to Billct2, I do believe Super Stock sign blanks are out of business.

Your also proberly wondering what our association is with Carvagio? Well if you go to www.carvagiousa.com you'll see a contact link to Guild Designer Studios. We offer finished hand carved sign blanks for the many shops out there that do not offer this kind of service.

As soon as our new website is finished, were looking forward to becoming a Merchant Member.
